TOPIC | What Genes Exemplify Your Flight?

Members from each flight - I'm really curious about what genes you think go with your flight. I'm building a hatchery of Gen 1 flight reps, and I'm still deciding on designs. Some things are fairly obvious, like Circuit for Lightning, but I'm curious to hear which genes everyone really associates with their Flight.

You don't have to include examples, but I would love it if you do! Please mention why a gene makes you think of your flight- it could be aesthetics, tie into lore, anything!

Note: For this project, I'm sticking to the breeds which come from each region according to Lore, so Coatls for Fire, PCs for Light, etc. so I'm not asking about breeds, only genes.

Are any of you interested in a thread dedicated to every part of this project?

I've gotten some great help here, and this is a huge undertaking, and I'm curious to know if people would be interested in a thread that chronicles this project, with links to my purchasing and sales threads as well.

By the way, if anyone is curious, my hatchery is going to be called The Embassy and I plan on renting nests for the purpose of creating high end Gen2 flight ambassadors.

Any who are born in the wrong nest will be referred to as The Expats and sold for a little less.

Random dragons from my personal collection, or ones born with very off colors, will be called The Stateless and go for quite inexpensive prices

I've seen a lot of crackle in Fire subspecies, usually to represent magma and etc. but I personally think giraffe and hex get the same idea across while looking nicer to more people! Plus you can get a more cooled lava effect with giraffe/hex. Poison and toxin works as well, using colors with very warm and firey accents. Smoke, scales, and maybe even capsule could work as terts imo. Smoke for, well, like smoke coming from the volcanoes. Scales because i think you'd need tougher scales to withstand such high temperatures, like an extra layer of protection if you work with metal or anything with fire lol. I've made some sort of light themed scries to show what I feel resembles light! Light is generally very shiny and sparkly, but shiny comes at a cost. Another similar expensive gene you could use is opal, but I feel that might be slightly more earthy than light. Runes is another popular choice to match iri/shim on a much smaller budget, light dragons value knowledge and runes seem to show that off best.[/center][/columns] [columns][center]This is a much cheaper scry that's still heavily inspired by light. Capsule offers a similar shiny feel to glimmer but for much less, especially if you can brew it yourself.
