Sweet chuckled.
"Not every plant on these shelves is safe my friend." He pulled out a tiny cup and scooped Adaro some tea while pouring himself a much larger one.
"You asked for a snack did you not? I'll check if there are any candied bugs left... Wisteria occasionally raids them."

Adaro grinned. "Of course, of course. We have a couple herbalists and they're far from helpless." He stretched out and rolled over on his side, relaxing even more. Adaro took the cup of tea with murmured thanks, sipping it gratefully. "Ah, heaven..." He liked to make tea to relax too, although he tended to favor catmint. "Only if you can spare some; don't put yourself out," he replied in response to the snack question. Adaro was sort of dozy, like a cat in a sunbeam.
"So is there a local market around here where you sell your herbs, or do people usually come to you? You mentioned apprentices. How many do you have?" Sweet had such a different life than Adaro, and Adaro was curious. He'd grown up around the machines and wires of the Shifting Expanse. This cozy little tree home was just about the polar opposite. It sort of made Adaro want a houseplant of his own, to liven up his own space.

Fallout tipped his head in thanks. “Hm, alright, what good cooking stories do I have... oh! You’ll like this one, I think. My husband and I were out collecting some plants for a tundra visitor, and he said something along the lines of ‘I bet I can find more plants than you’, so obviously I rose to the challenge! And so we discovered a new variation of this grass that grows in Fire territory and an entire tree our clan mage cursed once that had striped fruit! How cool is that? Anyways, when we got home it was nearly sundown, and before we fed our guest anything fishy, we tried our new findings. The grass was fine, though a bit bitter, but the fruit... I ended up purple for a week! It was awful! And my partner laughed at me! But after he stopped laughing I guess he felt bad, because he snuck some of it into a pie and fed it to our entire clan...”

Calamint bows his head with a smile, quite obviously grateful for the kindness. He had strayed a little too far from the Woodland this time. Not everyone would invite a stranger into their home, despite the coatl looking generally nonviolent; he took the offer with a kind grin. Settling into the pillows by the library almost immediately, he seemed to be at peace. "It's very nice to meet you, Sweet. Thank you for your generosity."
He looks around, then grins even more; almost from crest-to-crest. "I am impressed by your collection of books!" Calamint exclaims softly. "It's good to find a fellow dragon who owns a library. Oh yes- where are my manners? My name is Calamint." Despite his calmness he seems a little unorganized as far as his thoughts go. "If it isn't too much trouble, some tea and a snack would be wonderful, please."

A blindfolded Skydancer "stared" at the Imperial as he followed the larger dragon to his home, seemingly listening to Sweet's footsteps. Black liquid oozed down the Skydancer's face as he trailed inside, moving his head as if looking around his home. As the liquid from his eyes made contact with the floor it seemed to vanish into a mist, leaving no trail behind.
"I thank you for your hospitality... Not many would associate or speak to an Exalted dragon, let alone bring one into their home... I hope that fact does not change your mind... I would do just about anything for a good cup of tea at the moment..." The Skydancer said, offering Sweet an exhausted smile. "It has been long since I have gotten a rest with a friendly dragon."
The Skydancer seemed to nod as Sweet introduced himself, bowing his head. "I apologize I cannot offer you a name for myself. Names are not really of importance among the massive ranks of the Shadowbinder. I was never given one before I was Exalted." He said, sitting on the floor to to rest his weary paws. He seemed to look right at Sweet, seemingly able to see the dragon and the space around him through some sort of magic or enchantment.

The elegant silver skydancer had wandered through the forest for days, searching through the undergrowth for the tracks of a malevolent creature. After countless hours, Artemis had realized that the beast knew it was being followed. Its tracks led in aimless loops, disappeared into creaks, and vanished up the trees. Finally, exhausted, she had settled down beside a stream to rest.
She hadn't meant to close her eyes for so long, but once they opened, she had the feeling that she had slept for a very long time. The moon was now very high in the sky, filling her with energy and setting her scales aglow. The flowers swathed across her body, which had wilted during her tiring journey, stretched their petals open, reinvigorated.
Artemis gazed up at the dark green imperial with wise and curious eyes, and bowed gratefully in response to his offer. Her footsteps soundless, the gentle skydancer followed him through the woods and to his home.
As she entered, Artemis couldn't resist looking around and admiring Sweet's abode. It was humble, natural, and warmly cozy. There were knotted shelves woven around countless books as though they had been happy to grow themselves to hold up knowledge. And so much knowledge there was. Artemis's dark blue eyes strained to flicker over every binding she could see, so curious as she was to read their titles. And there was nature everywhere, respected and treated with gentle care. Artemis was drawn to the herbs as well, and she was filled with a huge respect for her host as she realized how much he must have known about nature, and how he must love plants and knowledge as much as she did.
Although Artemis's talons itched towards the bountiful knowledge all around her, she resisted out of the firm rules of politeness that were woven into her being. She smiled warmly up at Sweet. "You possess a kindness and spirit most special. Tea would be lovely," Artemis said in her voice as soft as stardust. "Thank you for welcoming me into your beautiful home. I have rarely before been graced with a dragon as knowledgeable and respectful of nature as yourself."
Artemis spread her wings and lowered her head again in a bow of admiration. She herself could best be described as beautiful and unusual. Her moon-white scales were laden with lively silver flowers, which seemed to be thriving despite having no obvious energy source. Artemis had a bow and quiver strapped to her side. A dark cape embraced her long neck, and silver gauntlets protected her arms, revealing her as a warrior or perhaps a huntress. Her translucent green wings twinkled with stars, and a very subtle, ivory glow emanated from her scales, like the halo of light around the moon. The tall skydancer's eyes were as blue as ocean, seeming to hold as much unfathomable knowledge; and they were as deep with bottomless kindness.

"sweet, hmm? that is... strange," citrine remarks, though he follows nonetheless. "i am citrine, by the way. you can call me that. or any variation, i don't mind." he is seemingly lost in thought as they finally reach the dwelling. "it's a nice place. i do like the design... i would not mind having a meal here. in fact, i myself do love to cook. you wouldn't mind me helping out in the kitchen, would you?" he gives the most genuine smile he could, though he's not quite sure it came off that way. he will have to work on it.

Hey! I haven't forgotten about any of you guys! I've just hit a small writers block of sorts. I'm just not motivated to write that much, I'm sure I'll be attacked with the urge at late o'clock and write up a few responses soon.
Thank you all for your patience. I honestly wasn't expecting to draw out so many people. I don't think I'll be doing the Wisteria writing bit for everyone like I was planning. Just a few random ones to work on her personality and such.

(So sorry for the wait, I hit a little writer's block. I was so overwhelmed by how many people posting on this forum! I panicked and wanted to make sure my writing was perfect which made me see all the flaws and that sent me spiralling. I'm feeling more confident now.)

Sweet eyed the younger dragon, amusement dancing in his eyes and a small smile creeping onto his face. "Soup it is." He nodded and began grabbing and prepping ingredients. As he worked he hummed a soft tune, the same tune he had hummed by the river.
Eventually the soup was finished. He motioned for Edgar to come closer, "Here, try some and tell me what you think." He said while passing him the ladle.
