She’s best described as Lawful Evil. Mballa is currently trying to userp Dmitri (Who you’ll meet if you do Chaotic alignments) through marriage, so that she can take over his sultanate and resestablish the dynasty of the Sand Sultanas. Dmitri... doesn’t really care, he’s doing his best to run away and be a pirate, and he’s just kinda waiting for her to figure out how to annul his betrothal and and marry him while he is overseas. But Dmitri’s sisters and cousin (who also intend to seize power) are less lenient about a different bloodline taking over, so Mballa is also quietly plotting their political demise. But she only wants to ruin their honor, not kill them, because you just don’t do that to your sisters in arms. Mballa wants to clean her jewelry and pretend to be ditzy and vain, Zeb wants to explore the cave, and Spire thinks they’re both wimps and wants to go back out into the rain they took shelter from. Or a pile a somethin’ shiny.” Zeb waved her tail like she was about to pounce on an especially plump goat and smiled dreamily. Mballa vaguely wondered if money was what drove all ship’s captains, or if the two she knew were just particularly greedy. “Much as I would like something shiny,” Mballa grumped. “This cave is in plain view of he road and easily accessible. Anything might have been here would have been cleaned out by other dragons ages ago.” “She’s right. There’s nothing worthy poking around here for. So move your lazy feathers and let’s go.” Spire jerked her head forcefully at the cave entrance, like she could get her traveling companions to move by force of will. “A little rain won’t kill you.” “The rain may not kill you, but [i]I[/i] will if you try to make me go out there.” Mballa stayed firmly, rearing her head up and flaring her head feathers. Spire thought it was a decent impression of an Onyx Cobra. “Oh? You gon’ kill her?” Zeb asked skeptically, which only made her humming coatl voice harder to understand. “Do you doubt me, cat-snake?” Mballa hissed, glaring at Zeb, her feathers bristling. “Did you jus’ call me ca’-sna’?” If Zeb had been hard to understand before, her indignation made it impossible. “No, you called yourself that. I just called you a cat-snake.” Mballa bared her fangs in a vicious smile as she prepared for what would inevitably come next. “Y’ spa’kly lil’-” Zeb roared, and she lunged towards the delicate skydancer, who rose up to meet her. By the entrance, Spire sighed, gave the road one last mournful look, and then began to pad toward the tussling women. Zeb and Mballa were both very capable warriors, even if Mballa didn’t look it. A fight with them would give Spire a chance to stretch her muscles, at least.... [/size] They get in a fight, of course!
