It's impossible to tell if he is a fraud or not from first glance, but he certainly looks the part of a Seer, even past his blue eyes. Runes and spell circles are weaved into his feathers. The tips of his wings have crystallized with solid magic, and the air around him seems to hum and glow. He shifts carefully, tucking his cracked wings against his body. He turns to the front of his stall and smiles faintly, facing his newest customer. Right. Time for business. He steadies himself and gives what he hopes is a reassuring smile. "Well. I know what you must be after, if you found your way here." He muses, quietly taking a seat. He fixes his gaze on the dragon before him, a slight tilt to his head. "You wish to know the future?" "Then sit down, and tell me what you want to know. I'll give you answers as best I can." ___________________________________________[/center] I always liked these threads, so I wanted to make one of my own. c: Payment isn't necessary, though tips are appreciated~ Have one of your dragons ask a question to Aphotic about their future, and he'll answer it as best he can! I'm subscribed, so you don't have to ping me, but I won't be upset if you do out of habit. Apologies if you saw a similar thread in the Roleplay forums earlier - I'm a bit confused on where they're supposed to go. ^^'

Curious. He had not volunteered much in the way of information, but the seer supposed it was little more than a formality in the first place. He gently spread his cracked wings, grabbing a map of Sorneith and a small dagger. He did not prefer this type of magic, but his instinct told him that it was how he could best help. And so that was what he would do. He readied the dagger, but it stopped just shy of pricking Aphotic's hand. He mused on something for a moment before turning back to Hanbei, a faint frown creasing his face. "What makes you fear your future?" He pushed gently. He could murmur vague reassurances, and that would be enough, but that would not be fair to Hanbei.

Aphotic dipped his head and closed his eyes, pricking his hand on the dagger. He let the drops of blood fall onto the map, yet they didn't soak into the paper - instead they drifted on the surface, coalescing into lines, then shapes, then pictures. The magic in the air hummed, growing brighter, more saturated. In seconds, it was almost tangible. "Every action," He started, "Has it's opposite. Every choice you make will lead to unintended consequences. That much is unavoidable. It is simply the nature of being alive." He intoned, a pale light seeping out from under his eyelids. The blood shifted into a sword, a shield, a royal crest. Then into the shapes of three dragons, sworn brothers: A Skydancer, a Wildclaw, and the Coatl before him. "I believe you've sacrificed many things, for the good of your kingdom. One of those things was your own moral purity, was it not?" He blinked, then, and he had no iris, sclera or pupil - just orbs of sea-green light. "You are a tactician. You've commanded armies, yes? I do not blame you, but do not be blind to the blood on your hands. So many families torn apart, so many souls lost. Such is the nature of battle." The blood morphed into a crown, a twisted thing with blood red jewels. "Your conquest will be successful. That much I know." There was an echo to Aphotic's voice, and for a moment the Coatl risked losing himself. "It will not be simple, or easy, or without sacrifice. But if you remain steadfast, then you and your brothers will accomplish your goal. You will unite your fractured lands." He paused, then. "But that is not where it ends." "Know that the actions of yourself and your brothers are justified, but never let that drift into hubris. Remain aware of your faults. Be gracious in victory, and reach out to those you've harmed. Mend the faults in your kingdom's foundation. Reparation is how you will keep your kingdom standing for generations to come." The blood finally began to soak into the map, and the echoed softened from his voice. He looked smaller, somehow, as if he was simply a dragon again. "Not forever." He mused. "Nothing lasts forever. We both know this. But you can grant a lifetime of peace for hundreds of thousands, and history will be kind to you." And finally, the glow dulled from his eyes, cooling back to an ocean blue. Aphotic blinked, taking a moment to steady himself. "You are a kind dragon, and your cause is just." He said quietly. "I apologize if I was harsh - I lost myself to the vision for a moment." He admitted, though it was not wise to do so. He looked down at the map once more, staring down at the outline of blades and corpses over the Focal Point. He quietly tucked it away. There was no need for that, now - he knew what the map was trying to say. "I know that, perhaps, this isn't what you wished to hear. But I hope it offers you some guidance nevertheless."

Eventually she circled back to the front of the seer's stall with the slightest tilt of her head and eyes narrowed by just a fraction. Her scales gleamed sharp as sunlight without its warmth, just searing light wherever the softest of lights touched her. The lanterns hanging from her wings seemed laughably soft in comparison. She mirrored the Coatl's smile with the fluid ease that only a Nocturne could wield. Her head dipped in a quick bow, though her eyes don't leave his even when she'd already risen her head again. Her gaze skidded away like a rock skipping across water. "I am alive... You could deconstruct me and rebuild me though. I also can't get sick, useful in my new clan. You're in the right place, and you're right on time." He said with a faint smile. "Take a seat." He suggested gently, motioning for her to sit on the other end of a small, round table. The larger dragon towered over him - it was a bit intimidating, truthfully - but he brushed it off as best as he was able. "Hello. If you were looking for Aphotic, you've found him." Something about the Imperial looked... standoffish, almost. Perhaps he was a skeptic? Well, that was alright. Simply a chance to prove himself. Regardless of what he believed, dragons usually had troubled minds when they found their way to him. Not many saw need to glimpse the future when they were content with the present. He gave a soft, if not slightly intimidated smile, looking up at Teival. "Well, since you're here, you must already know what I do." He joked lightly. "Take a moment, and when you're ready, tell me what you would like to know."
