Boy, this subspecies is complicated, isn't it? My own subspecies are "These colors and these genes." And that's pretty much it.

people still enjoy it and keep breeding for them so I think it works even if a bit complicated. :3 we have amazing people here more then happy to help answer questions.

Yeah, super complicated. I really like how copper jaguar looks, but it's not accepted because it doesn't have a bioluminescent look to it:

The feet are a nice lighter blue, but they don't really look like they glow. It's the same with tiger.
It's the same with copper wasp. It has brighter areas, but they look reflective, not like they have an inner glow:

I think that's why it was never included as an acceptable primary, because it doesn't actually seem to glow. Same with metallic. The rest of the primaries aren't accepted because the markings are too dark, or have that pale blue color instead of the aqua-colored markings the subspecies is known for. And then there's poison:

Yeah, my issue is I don't really think crystal glows either but thats me and im known for disliking the crystal gene ... XD
i personally think crystal, bee and metallic even all look similar in reflective and not really glow but that is my thoughts

Maybe some previously accepted genes need to be reconsidered? I'm super new to the subspecies though, so that's also just a thought!

this is why i said they look similar to me, like crystal is kinda glowy... but it looks more reflective to me then glow.

Speaking for myself, I am just stoked to see where this subspecies goes! No apologies necessary.
Also, on the above topic, I second (third?) the comments on crystal, wasp, and metallic- all three look reflective, rather than luminescent.
You could [i]maybe[/i] work some lore around that- maybe that dragon uses more luminescent paint than others (ringlets + glowing clawtips?) and has a brighter secondary to "compensate"? But that begs the questions about whether it's a "Copper Cave Dragon" or just a cave dragon that happens to be copper.
