Before you tread deeper or turn tail to run, listen to our cry. Do you remember the first time your first clutch of eggs hatched and you had that sibling that was just that little bit weaker, that little bit off?
I was that sibling. Of a clutch of 5, I was the only one who was different.
My father and mother I never knew. Since hatchlinghood, I have wandered the lands. My hallowed being, some say is sacred, others avoid me like the plague. But I tell you this, I am a dragon like any of you. I need to feed and breed and I feel the maelstrom of emotions just like you do.
At first, I wandered where I was tolerated but came across a den of dragons much like me one day. We discovered, after some consultation with the elders who were much like us, that our species were to be able to thrive with the right conditions, that we had a right to life as much as any other dragon.
So many moons later, we formed a clan at the hollows near the shadowlands and called ourselves The Hallows.
As for me, I became the leader of the clan. I always feel my heart ache, but I’ve soon forgotten what that feeling means.

Hallows are a subspecies of dragon that are generally misunderstood. Thought to be evil because of their appearance and genetic makeup, they are simply dragons that are misfits, or runaways.
There are several sub-types of Hallows: Creatures, Vampires, Werewolves, Jack-O-Lanterns, Poltergeist, Wraith, Revenant, Fetch, and Cu Sith, each with their own unique make and type. Each type has their own genetic and colour pattern and their feeding and breeding habits vary as well.
Due to their rather frightening appearance, other dragons would generally turn tail and flee after an encounter with a Hallow, because superstition presupposes that they are bringers of bad luck or death. Hatchlings that are “normal” are taught from birth that these dragons are to be avoided and kept at arm’s reach, more, if possible.
But do not fear the dragons that are the Hallows, for they are generally benign (and some say, bringers of good fortune)!

The Jack-O-Lanterns Dragons are one of the less creepy Hallows. Their patterns look as if they are a giant Jack-O-Lantern. Even the yellow part of the pattern looks as if it has an eerily glow. Jack-O-Lanterns can be very friendly towards other dragons if they are not attacked.

Vampires and Werewolves are the classic idiom that looks can be deceiving. They are actually extremely gentle and do not kill. Meat-eaters do not eat from the living. they eat from the dead. Other Dragons have blamed the Vampires and Werewolves for the deaths of other dragons, therefore they have been tortured.
