I mean, I'm going to keep the mate because she's gorgeous, but that's... incredibly annoying. I was trying to find Sasi a more tert-appropriate mate, because now that I think about it, Grail correctly identified that we don't have any/many official Stogs with stained. Plus, this girl would have been amazing with Lionfish, and I could have bred two genes into the line in one go? So. Annoying.

On the other hand, I found a mate for my other Stog who has Python, bee, and Firefly, so I might change his tert to Runes so that Firefly has an equal chance of appearing? Verses the underbelly he has right now, which is waaaay dominate. They're very blue-green range.

My other stog pair wegged me after I went through all the trouble of putting bee and contour on Dendro, so. Ugh.

@Cutiepaws welcome to the project! We're a pretty quiet bunch around here. In case you haven't found it yet, the sale's thread is over here! You can post/ping your babs or get tricked to pick up more Stog pairs there. I'm personally subscribed to both threads because I'm heckin nosey. We look forward to seeing your kids!

I think I need to update the studs and directory from the first few pages and I shall do that this week/weekend if I get as much work done as I intend to (was gonna have a slow week this week but I was ill this weekend and didn't do anything so I'm a t behind...doing a masters is pretty intense...)

@FauxFox honestly we don't have too many stogs without ripple as a primary and breeding it out is difficult, especially when I have my own personal don't update the genes rule that I totally ignored when putting starmap on cosmos

also think I put the least effort into breeding pairs sometimes lmao, since I swap mates (or used to) often every month. Audacity has a permanent lady friend now but the babies are very basic and the rare chance they'll get wasp is the only way they're super worth anything to anyone at this point (looking at sunfish)

@Sonne I was noticing that myself! Plus the color ranges tend to be pretty close, which is why I keep committing to overly wide ranges myself - well, that and I'm easily bored by offspring that are too uniform. Hopefully that starmap will breed true every one in a while!

If coatls had a shorter breeding cooldown, impatient people like myself might commit to trying to breed genes into the pool rather than just slapping genes on them lmao. You have my respect for not updating their genes manually!

Regardless, I think it's somewhat important to continue to make young Stogs available for whenever someone new finds the project so that the threshold for entry is easily crossed, you know? The idea seems to be to have as many Stogs out there as possible, after all!

@Frankee111 @FauxFox if it is the kid FauxFox suggested, they aren't technically a Stogwen as one parent is a Wildclaw.

@Sonne i somehow missed that while looking at the father's lineage lol. It's true! It's true! The only real requirement for a Stog is to be descended from Stog and both parents to be coatls regardless of the child's species.
