Their fleshy skin with a skeleton pattern marked upon it is where they get their names. Their origins began long ago, where a disease wreaked havoc upon the inhabitants of Sornieth, causing fur and scales to peel off to reveal flesh and skeletal markings to appear. What was left was a pinkish dragon who still retained the same markings they had before, but adorned a new one that struck out against their skin. Those afflicted were seen as bad omens and cast away. Those exiled began grouping together, as a way to survive, and in shock, the offspring bore the afflictions too. And so did any offspring thereon forth. Now in Sornieth, while still unsettling, Boneborne are on neutral terms as a whole with other dragons. However, some clans still have a strong hatred for them and will go out of their ways to hunt them, and it's especially uncommon to see one within a clan with other dragons. However, some lone clans of Boneborne have made peace and co-exist with other clans in turn for protection from the hunters, and that they promise their alliance.[/center] [center][i]EDIT: I'm subbed no need to ping![/i][/center]

[center][b]CHARACTERISTICS[/b][/center] [center]BB tend to be rather skittish in nature, often choosing flight over fight in response. Most speak in lowered, soft sounding voices, as most were taught to speak like that to avoid being found by hunting clans. Some prefer not to speak at all due to how they were taught! As for mannerisms, BB have a tendency either fidget or pace around while holding a conversation, as they are a very mobile subspecies, often moving about hiding spots. Because of their hides being softer than standard dragonhide, they tend to be more fragile and weak than non-BB. Why aren’t the genes you listed allowed?
Because they either change the dragon’s color too much or they add colors outside of the requirements (EX. Skink and Poison add a yellow color to the skin, which doesn’t fit within the species). Also some just clash with the designs as a whole (see piebald/paint). However, in future variations, some may include genes that are as of right now, not permitted in the species, along with some specific colors.
