Lore is one of the big reasons I enjoy the site, and with the influx of new lore and speculation following the Bounty of the Elements I thought this would be a fun project to help get that good, good lore juice flowing. Each founding pair consists of two Generation 1 dragons.[/center] [center][i] Thousands of years ago, scholars of Light and seers of Water met at the border of their realms, and between them a pact was formed, an oath sworn: Knowledge must be protected and shared between all of dragon kind, lest the terrible history of war and mistrust consumed them once more, or the dark future the seers had divined come to pass. Using their magic, the six built a grand temple on the coast where they had met and named the place Veniccio. In the temple they would store all of their collective knowledge and they would invite all those who were willing to learn from it and share their own knowledge as well. Eventually the six had children of their own, and passed onto them their love and knowledge and drive to learn, and when they grew old enough their children left on a quest to acquire knowledge from around Sornieth, which they would return to the temple and add to the collective. Perhaps one day these children would have children of their own and the cycle would continue on. These dragons are interested in the acquisition and curation of any and all knowledge. They hail from a coast directly on the border between The Sea of a Thousand Currents and the Sunbeam Ruins, where the unique combination of magic and influence by the Gods has lead to a vast increase of intelligence both magical and mundane. Living in a pocket of the realms blessed by two gods of knowledge has also uniquely changed their appearance - when the sun shines fully upon them, the dragon's full lifetime of knowledge is illuminated within them, displayed as a dazzling liquid. On the longest day of each year, Veniccio dragons from far and wide gather at their ancestral home to display the knowledge they have acquired for the wonder of others. [*] Scholars will have a Generation number which will show how distantly related they are to the Founding Six. For example, the Six are Generation 0, their children are Generation 1, their grandchildren are Generation 2 and so forth. [*] Please do not breed two Scholars together, even if they are far enough removed, as this muddies up the generation listings. [*] All Scholars [i]must[/i] have Capsule, but their are no other gene, breed, colour, or level restrictions. [*] As this is a lore project as well as a lineage project, it is highly encouraged that you give your Scholar some lore; perhaps pertaining to what they are studying while they stay with your clan, or perhaps their ambitions have reached beyond the original scope of their parent's vision, or anything at all really. Just have fun and make some great lore. [*] Only Veniccio Scholars dragons may be sold or advertised in this thread. Please do not post unrelated dragons, or use any pinglists for selling or showing off unrelated dragons. [*] Once you have allowed a Scholar into your lair they are yours to do with as you wish, but it is encouraged that you breed them at least once. If your Scholar has outlived their welcome, you may send them back to Veniccio (me) so they can share their findings, or you can encourage your Scholar to move onto another lair (resell or trade them here) [/LIST][/center]
