Her circuits can actually conduct electricity, and she is certainly an engineer, and her true purpose is to find what her power can be used for. She also just SCREAMS in her appearance alone that she is a Lightning dragon that SCREAMS the personality of a Lightning dragon.

He's definitely not the only dragon in the clan to stay up all night working, but he is by far the most studious of the ones that do. He is the Grand Master of the Ministry of Science and fills those shoes perfectly. He can often be seen roaming between several labs at 3 a.m., running several experiments at once, always shifting piles of lab books full of findings and hypotheses, or perhaps working on another book he will eventually have published. The other members assure us that he is fine though and can handle the burden and responsibility better than any of them. So far they've been correct. . .

HELLO, IT IS MY TIME TO SHINE. Magic was all fine and good, it was indeed an art form and something that could be mastered. However, not all dragons took an interest in the energies of the world. This was to say they were intrigued by it in a different way. There were some who were considered outcasts, mad, strange, and unorthodox. There was fear that originated from what these dragons did, the kind of dangerous knowledge they pursued, the possibility of danger. This is what the Arcanist would've wanted, something the Stormcatcher would be proud of, something alchemists, engineers, chemists, botanists, zoologists, and all sorts spent their life working on. This wasn't magic, this was the realm and wonderful world of science. The energies of how things worked could be unraveled through experimentation, hypothetical situations, and mathematical models. Predictions, calculations, invention, discovery. Even practical things, such as migratory patterns of certain animals or how herbs could be used as medicine, surgical remedies, and inventions to help everyone who needed them. Science was respected, it was something a bit more broad than magic. [columns] [nextcol]This, however, didn't mean science wasn't dangerous. In the wrong hands, it could certainly be used as a tool for destruction. Weapons of mass destruction, the power to create and destroy, they were things Lalna took a great passion for. But rather than use them to hurt others on purpose, it was more or less by accident. The poor sap was more of a danger to himself than anyone else, even though he would sometimes make incredible breakthroughs. This didn't mean they were practical, however. Oftentimes he would be left alone for a few hours, and some would come back to find an elaborate machine that made no sense; the ultimate function ended up being turning logs, sticks, leaves, and grass into charcoal. No one is quite sure where he came from, all they know is that disaster is something that tends to follow in his wake.[/columns] [columns]One such case was Lalna's biggest rival and competition, Lalnable. If ever there was a reason to fear someone because of what they are supposedly capable of, he is a prime example. The rumors that circulate around him are always ignored by most of the clan, even the leaders. When he arrived he was welcomed with welcome arms, promising that he would bring about a new era for the clan with innovations. His kind of scientific method is different than that of others, where he believes the ends will always justify the means. His lust for scientific discovery drove him mad, getting to the point where he had supposedly killed four innocent dragons who dared to get close to him. Many knew what he was, they knew why he had killed. He was a cannibal, a fact he wasn't exactly shy about. The stench of blood followed him as he tinkered with biological matter, taking after the likes of Hannibal Lector and Doctor Frankenstein. If anything, he was the demented lovechild of both.[nextcol] [/columns]No one could have ever predicted what his true intentions were, the best oracles in the land would never have been able to see the kind of feat he was able to pull off. On one stormy night amidst the Crystalspine Reaches, something straight out of a monster horror movie erupted from the clan's old lair. Lalnable had done it, something many believed to be impossible, something that should have never happened. He had created life, another dragon taking upon some of his likeness, the likeness of Lalna, and what looked to be other dragons. It was a monstrosity he lovingly named Specimen, a product of extensive biological testing. Why on earth Lalnable would want to make another dragon from loose DNA and biological matter was beyond many, all they knew was that they needed to make Specimen feel welcome. It wasn't right to turn away someone who was brought into the world so suddenly, someone made by unnatural means; a freak of nature, but a freak that needed love. It wasn't long before the pair teamed up, continuing freak experiments and scheming together. Nearly inseparable, Lalnable and Specimen, the mad scientists of the clan. It wasn't long before small automatons became his pride and joy, and he soon became the clan tinkerer. Unlike Lalna, his designs were much more simple and tended to be smaller. The once mirror began to change with his new settings, growing comfortable as new patterns were painted onto his scales. While the two mad scientists competed harshly against each other for who was the best, Ewan was peacefully working on his own inventions. Over time he became softer, both physically and emotionally. Gowyr and Shellina supported his peaceful nature, and all agreed to give him a gift that no other dragon had received.[/columns]To thank him for his deeds to the clan, they gave him a scroll to bless him with the ability to become a coatl. His new form took him some time to adjust to, but it wasn't long for him to become more dexterous than what he was as a mirror. His inventions only improved, his helpfulness was more appreciated. To many, he was an inspiration, someone who only wanted to help with the power of science and engineering.

First up, Alizarin!
39978467_350.png
Alizarin is named after the colorant alizarin red, one of the dyes used to visualize the osteogenesis paths in fetal development. It is usually used with chick embryos and it can be beautiful!

Second, Astatine!
3633643_350.png
Astatine is a radioactive chemical element and is the rarest element in Earth's crust because it's usually only found as the decay product of other elements!

And lastly, a tribute to the Queen of Modern Astronomy, Cannon!
31645689_350.png
Cannon is named for revolutionary astronomer Annie Jump Cannon, who helped to create our modern classification system for categorizing stars! She was a member of the Harvard Computers and was involved with the suffragette movement in the United States. Annie also happened to be almost completely deaf, due to a bout with scarlet fever during college.
