@Friendo
Hmmm....
What if you made the skydancers into an avian Moonbeast, and the coatls felines? You could change the primary gene requirement to Falcon for skydancers, and the coatls could keep the original Savannah/Peregrine combo. Tiger is also an option, though it doesn't seem to be too popular, and there's also Jaguar/Rosette, but I personally think the original looks better than Jag/Rose lol :3 You could also do Jaguar/Safari, which actually doesn't look bad, either.
For skydancers, you could create color ranges that represent various birds, such as:
Blues for bluebirds, bluejays, etc.
Yellows for canaries, goldfinches, etc.
Blacks for ravens, crows, etc.
You get the idea lol :P You could also do a tropical bird category where the primary and secondary colors are from different color groups, such as:
Red and blue for a scarlet macaw
or blue and yellow for a, well, blue-and-yellow macaw lol
I'm kind of pulling this from the book series I'm currently reading. In it, there is a group of people called vyrkin. They're technically shapeshifters, not lycanthropes, but they are also associated with the full moon the same way we associate lycanthropes, but for different reasons; in the past, the mortals hunted them down on nights with a full moon so they would have as much light as possible and be able to catch the vyrkin unawares as they slept. Survivors of these attacks were traumatized by what they saw, and from then on, their extreme anger and sadness caused them to lose control of their shifting when they saw the full moon.
Idk, just some ideas I had :)
