@Grovey I've seen and commented on your lair before and its still so lovely. Calamity and Aspen are some of my very favorite dragons on site and I love the both! These five kiddoes are just as lovely! She's so soft and nice, reminds me of a sunset - especially the stritation in the scry really gives her that soft, cloudlike feeling - and then the multigaze adds something eldritch and unexpected. She's really interesting to look at! The apparel enhances her beautifully. Love how well the accent mirrors teh color of her wings. The little flashes of purple are lovely and refreshing as well. Gosh, she's just so damn pleasing to look at! The layering on her head is just incredibly cool, love how the glasses look over the headdress. Her strict colorscheme could so easily become intimidating, but she still feels warm and adventurous. It matches so well with her lore. And her lore is so good! It matches her, it feels unique and very fun? Every little detail about her is just so fitting. The way light and dark is balanced in her natural colors? The brightness of the stripes in tapir against the deep dark on the darkest parts of bee? Its dramatic and yet perfectly balanced. And its all just highlighted by the accent. The faint pink outline around her head brings out the depth and the coolness in the purple shades while the little stars play into the warmth in stained. She only wears one piece of apparel and yet she feels complete somehow. Simple and intricate and amazingly beautiful. The shade of blue and orange feels balanced, they compliment each other while the yellow gembond both tie them together and mirrors the shade on some of the apparel (the borders on banner and the raiments are the exact same color???). he just looks so put together, there's a thought to every little detail and its honestly awe inspiring. He embodies everything that [I]is[/I] light. He feels so regal and elegant, but there's an immense strength to him too. There's such a weight to this guy. He feels utterly unique. The colors are so saturated and deep, he feels ancient and like he belongs in some sunspotted forrest somewhere. The shapes you've build, both with the shapes in the genes and all the textures and shapes in the apparel, is so unique. He's almost stopped looked like an ordinary skydancer. Its a really cool effect! It makes him so memorable and imposing, this mix of something very familiar put together in new and interesting ways. I'm especially in love with the head and the tail, the mix of textures is utterly amazing! He's powerful and unique and his colors just took my breath away. So many lush shades, from the deep dark violets of evening to the vivid glows of the alchemist tools, all blending together in perfect harmony. Best of all is that accent, which gives Nightshade this enchanting sparkle, as beautiful as night itself. And can I say that smoke is such an underappreciated gene? The elegant way it streaks across Malachite's body is so captivating! And I love those shiny, shiny wings and matching roundhorns. And looking at her, I remember why. Those swirling vines, the lovely detail on the thorns... and the pale blue blossoms match Ruun's primary to a T! The hat and glasses are a neat touch, giving her a lot of personality. And that wavecrest item looks like it was made for her, that water fish every bit as spirited as she is. [/columns]

What I like to do, is usually open a lair and cast my eyes all over it to see which dragon stands out to me the most. This guy here [i]immediately[/i] caught my eye. Look at that rainbow accent... I didn't even realize the only piece of apparel he had were a few candles! I adore the way that his actual genes suit that accent so beautifully, it's like it was made for him! The way that his shimmer shifts from light to dark purple/red tones makes it look like part of the accent itself! His crystal just adds more colour to the mix, and that dark grey helps his accent and wings to stand out even more than they already do! Looking at his bio (incredible art btw, I stare), it's hard to think that this guy is a blood mage. But at the same time, he really does give off this ominous vibe. To me, he feels almost [i]too[/i] colourful, like something's up and he's trying pretty hard to cover it under a ton of bright and sudden colours! An amazing dragon, I love him. [i]Explosion of bright orange right there[/i]. I was confused for a second, about what kind of dragon he was, until I stopped and got a good look at him. That heavy black from the wings and sylvan dress really makes your eyes focus on the parts that stand out, perfect in combination with that skin he's wearing. The eyes are drawn to his bright wings and tail, so stark against the full black of his apparel. He looks dark and dangerous, mysterious for sure, but you can't help but stare at him because of how incredibly well that bright orange stands out. I also really love the way you can see part of his actual colours underneath around his neck, but then it fades into the same dark tones as the rest of his apparel. His entire look really just draws you to focus on that [i]one spot[/i]. It's super appealing to me! It's just so nice to stare at? It gives me a poisonous and dreamlike vibe which I adore. No wonder purple is my favourite colour. But here I see... a dragon wearing my favourite and most overused (by me) apparel piece! White raven armor! Dawnchaser has so little apparel on and yet with the accent it looks like she has a [i]ton[/i] of it all over! I feel like, once again, what drew me to her was the way that the black helps the rest of her colour stand out. White raven armor is always such a good way to do that. The combination with her other apparel and with the hints of her constellation through the accent... It just makes her feel like some kind of galactic witch. Even nicer to me, is the way her iridescent and smoke just blend seamlessly with that fuchsia apparel! It's so easy to move your eye from her head to her tail smoothly, without a single break of colour in her apparel and genes. The nightshroud even looks like its lighter on the left side and darker on the right like her iridescent! Stunning dragon, truly. This time black and green. Let me tell you, black and bright neon green gives off an insane poison, radiation and sickly vibe to me. What I love about this girl is the fact that as soon as I read that she was a witch, I was almost instantly reminded of the evil witch from the wizard of oz! Even maleficent from the animated movie! With that green fire and the black dragon breathing it. What I love the most about her though would have to be the way that, almost in accordance to her lore and the fact that she isn't evil, the dryad's guise makes her look soft, less intimidating. The rose thorn apparel is thorny and dark coloured, blending in with her black scales and making her look sharp. But once you actually pay attention to her outfit you see this lovely, flowing dress with calm hints of yellow and mellow green, white flowers at the center. It adds that little bit of personality to her, almost as if to say 'If you dedicate time to get to know her instead of be intimidated by her, you'll see that she's actually a very kind dragon at heart'. White is a colour of purity, it reflects her personality perfectly. I love anything that's black and gold or white and gold. Shiny, shiny is very good. I'd like to start with the accent. I love how the scarf from his breastplate hides the part of the accent that's showing it fading away into the rest of his genes. The way that he's all white and then there's suddenly this demonic looking black head covered in gold? It actually blends so well with the rest of his appearance that seeing it is nearly surprising! It's like a beast untamed, hidden underneath a layer of white, a monstrosity or being of wild power hidden away and revealing itself only slightly. The rest of the outfit... Incredible. The way that most of his apparel flows so nicely with the pearlcatcher pose, as well as his multigaze looking absolutely amazing beside that gold and white apparel is really nice to look at and almost calming. On first glance he appears pretty serene, but then when you look at him longer and pay more attention you see this almost... unbridled rage or unpredictable creature lying among it. Not to say that he doesn't look regal either! If you told me he was some kind of god or king I'd believe you completely![/center] (To anyone below me, I'd appreciate it a lot if you only chose dragons from the first three tabs in my lair. Don't feel obliged to though! Go wild if you want!)

The color scheme he has going on is so wild to me - the orange is in such stark contrast to the purples, but it all flows through with the skin. @hatterlet You have such a gorgeous lair and I had so much fun going through it! I originally had ten tabs open and I was tempted to leave it at ten ngl. It gives her such a warm, approachable air. The proportion of green, gold, and orange feels so balanced too. The little details, like the stained glass peeking out from under her wing and crowning her head (which absolutely match the color of her skirt!!), complemented by the little gold ornamentations on her tail and wings–it's like the dictionary definition of exquisite. She's an absolute knockout! But what really drew me to him was his big old soulful eyes. (And that eyeliner?? Sharp enough to kill a man.) I also love that he matches his familiar so well! Her apparel, particularly the hood, gives her such a mysterious, bada$$ vibe. She looks like the sweetest thing. I can't get over how the tails of her cloak frame her beautifully. I think the dark purple meshes so well with the predominant pink in her color scheme. And the little gold details brings it all together. I couldn't tell what was making that iridescent effect on her tail at first. I thought it was a crystal primary, but then I realized it was actually her accent! Anyway, I just thought it was a really pretty detail. She just looks absolutely stunning. If I could steal any one of your dragons, it would be her. She's simply stunning! I love tiger gene, its barely used and it makes me happy to see dragons with it, especially when they are this beautiful. Every dragon is beautiful and they look lovely together, it was really tough to pick 5! He's so complex and he just fills me with a very specific feelings its tough to put to words on. I just know I want to look at him for a while. The red pendant is a masterstroke, it balances out the subtle cold grey in the accent and really catch your attention! I get why you've gotten so many pieces of art for this guy and all of the art is so adorable! The big, empty green eyes lure you in immediately and then he just unravels from there; you're eye follows the curve of his body as you pick up on all the stunning little details. The flowercrown matching the candles and adding something living and warm above the skeletal face; a gripping contrast. The dark of his belly against the bright, sickly green of the poison. There's such atmosphere to this guy and I almost gasped when I saw he''s a G1. It elevates her, makes her so much more interesting to look at and bring an air of something darker and more natural to her. Her entire vibe is utterly enchanting. Her dark face becomes the focal point up against the white of the dove, its such a great effect! The way it's darker on his face and the halo really brings attention to his face and gives him a lot of personality. His mane is just ligt enough that the halo seems very subtle? It almost blends in and you sit there wondering why he feels almost magnetic, you look him in the eye immediately and its wonderful. Generally, his apparel is just magical. It plays into the gold and leaves that soft blue to really shine. He's enhanced beautifully without it becoming overwhelming. The color of his belly is such a gorgeous color (hey fr, can we please add this lovely subdued red to the color wheel???) and i love how it looks against the dark green on his wings. The apparel has such subtle colors and the boney grey really adds to that natural, crocodile like feel. The scales are so good too, and I love how they compliment his colors rather than matching them completely. Even his familar match him to a t! How can you make a dragon this thought out??? Such lucky colors she has, the contrast of dark burned orange against pale yellow is just stunning, and that skin looks perfect on her. The basic secondary is entirely valid, and I love how it looks with the smoke from the crucible (which looks like it was made for it)! With her wing garland and thorn apparel, combined with her accent, she reminds me of a stained glass window from a fairy tale, vines just starting to grow over the frame. I love the subtle light aesthetic she's got going on here, with her harsh whites and greys softened to a lovely beige by the stain, and I love what a perfect fit those antlers are for her! The dark golds of her wing apparel really help to contrast and break up her monochrome color, and that vest looks amazing on her. I love the pops of bright green the banana poison brings out against her more muted wings and tert, it gives her a whimsical vibe that I really enjoy. The daisy apparel looks great on her as well, with the way it ties the soft yellow and the dark greens together, and the map kit is an obvious must for a cartographer! Her bright colors give her a fun and charming feel, but I love the implication of a hidden temper--certainly wouldn't want to get on her bad side!

I love this girl's colours, they're so light and airy which obviously fits her wind aesthetic. nice use of speckle, and I always love a ood toxin. all of her apparel is pulled together beautifully with the swirls of wind energy, the dryad's guise is a perfect fit, and you haven't covered up her lovely eyes with apparel! I never would've thought those colours would work together but the final outcome is stunning - the little pops of bright colour against a super dark background are lovely, and I especially love how crimson morph brings in a dappled red and blue effect. the layering of her wing apparel is also lovely and unique - she has a very particular look that I haven't seen before!
