@lunalys Such great lore! We spent way too long just reading through your lair instead of finishing this post...sorry! First up is Raven. We love the idea of a cult that annoys and harasses the goddess they worship! But you've also made Raven's outfit so perfectly cultist as well! So much so that he looks mysteriously evil, yet also with a magnetic personality. And a Gen1? The genes even look mildly menacing...which is a feat with pink noxtide, honestly! Because, they are the perfect pair! Again with the pink noxtide (we're loving this!), but the outfit looks more roguish and less mysteriously evil cult leaderish. He looks like the perfect enforcer to his brother's charismatic personality! Love the lore blurb about how the brothers cause headaches with some of the other lair residents, as well...as if they think of themselves as big bad evil dragons, yet the rest of the lair finds them mildly annoying and child-like. We were attracted to her looks, loving the colors of this Gen1 gorgeous girl. But then, the lore!! We love the details of not only using her eyes to hypnotize, but also her scales and wings! Melding her genes perfectly with lore is talent that we bow to! She matches her familiar perfectly! And she's so gloriously purple that we just can't look away! And her clan job as a researcher is perfect for how we envision Aethers, truthfully. So full of curiosity that they can't be contained! We must say - you have an eye for making Gen1 dragons look planned with how beautifully you work their colors with genes. We love fade, feel it is so very under-used and underrated. Fade is one of the few genes we will accept to use fuchsia. On top of that, you used a skin that worked with the flecks gene instead of letting it just get covered. Genius! This expelled witch is easily our favorite in your interesting lair and we feel she needs more love! I would never think FR's black-range colors to be an amazing backdrop for this skin. It really makes the blues and teals pop! His lore is super interesting too, I have several dragons of my own with the "cursed" or "blessed" by-a-plant-in-my-body thing going on. It's an idea I LOVE playing with, or maybe that's just me and my preference for nature themes haha! Also the subtle pattern of the butterlfly secondary looks really nice, almost like stones or pebbles from which the water is flowing! It's incredibdly relatable, and made me quite attached to this poor fellow! Not that he looks like a poor fellow, look at him with that skin! Amazing choice of UMA to go with his colors! The black, is once again, a nice backdrop that makes the UMA pop, but the red accents beneath tie the whoel thing together. Also love how the skulls from the skeletal gene look like helmets that are meant to go with the skin. Very nice mix of apparel sets that make for a distinctive look that conveys his mysterious character, yet while still looking cohesive. THe nighshroud pairs so nicely with the plasmpool armor! And I would never think to use that Wavecrest skin like this, the brownish-gold accents really work well here. You chose the perfect dragon to use it on; she looks like a stony, mossy koi pond! Shell especially here looks lile the bottom of a pond, while the diaphanous gene makes the veil look like a fish herself! She's very relaxing to look at - she looks like she's lit by those warm, soft light you'd see at a spa or something haha. Love her! And I like her lore as one of the few abberations whose heads get along - a tactician and a combatant sharing a body (and possibly mind too?) sounds like a deadly combo. Love how the eyes match the accent too, and really interesting how the skin is clearly nature-themed, but the carnivore gene brings to mind plague.

The character's fur-pauldron was the first thing that drew me in, so did the color coordination between the dragon and his apparel. Even the scar's placed just right. I couldn't help but be amused at his parents' names too. Upon seeing Fenglong without the skin, though, wow, I'd never thought I'd be inclined towards liking that color combo. They're a cool dragon, that's for sure. From afar, it looks like she's got bioluminescent remoras attached to her body. I like her very much. Even the apparel choice, singular, but matching with her skin theme... Not to mention her tertiary being so reminiscent of reflective flashes on water. How you find dragons that match their skin-- or skins that match the dragon- is like a super power at this point. I've had a hard time liking the piebald gene but that's probably because I haven't seen a dragon flexing it as good as this girl here. She's as serene as a koi pond- literally! On the supposed superpower of finding dragons and skins that match each other - it’s no superpower. Most of the dragons in my main lair were breeding projects designed for a skin or outfit. What I have now has been four years of breeding projects, with 24 more to go until I consider my lair “complete” haha!

I love how the dusky rose adds an extra layer to his blacks so we've got multiple colours in play too!

I also have to give you props for how you've used the eye piece which is a piece of apparel I have has super hard to make work in any outfit since it's often times looked so off. But I really like how it looks above the headdress and makes it look like a really cool new apparel piece. Honestly the details of how you've layered the apparel on him is amazing and combo that with his colours and that accent and you got a banger of a dragon. I think it's really cool and honestly gives a lot of world building for your lair along with the consequences of "What happens next" for those left behind in a sense. It really made me go around reading up on lore from all of your other dragons. He's a 10/10 dragon with beautiful golden details that deserves some quality rest. I have to say I have the biggest softspot for Hypnotic and damn Cair wears it well. It's one of those genes that if you're not careful what colour you pair it with, it's harsh on the eyes. But I really like the colours he has and especially how his prim and tert interact with each other since they have close colours it really helps make his poison prim more 'full' and deep in colour variations. Also his outfit is gorgous not being to much or to crowded but just enough and help give him a lot of personality. I also have to say I really adore the lore you have for Cair. The way he's afraid to admit that perhaps things aren't as 'okey' as he wants to pretend them to be. I really adore how his gold poison looks together with his okapi umber. The way they sort of bleed into each other is just top notch I also really like how Mosaic look on this little dude. Mosaic is a hit or miss gene, often one I have a hard time with but DAYUM he knocks it out of the park showing everyone how well Mosaic can look. I also really like how he's slaying it in that boneyard bard fit along with the birb skull wings. I can deffo see how he'd be one hell of a bard singing those haunting tunes as mentioned in his lore. I think the haunted flame set was like made for her, I also like that you didn't just stick to the haunted flame set but incoperated the dusty lanterns aswell as the head piece which help give her her own look. I Also really like seeing how the copper hypnotic pattern sticks out from beneath the cobwebs. Honestly a dragon I'd steal from you in a heartbeat given the chance. @Liquoricequeen Ok so Erebos is absolutely stunning! I love his spooky dark assassin/reaper vibe. The apparel with the hands looks awesome like a bunch of trapped souls and smoke reaching out of his body. The souless white eyes adds to his spookyness and it is all paired very well by the bright pop of green from the accent. This keeps him from looking like a big black blob, without taking away from his spooky vibes. The accent is perfect and makes him look like some kind of sun warrior and that collar, super fancy! I love how the accent blends with his tummy color in a way and really makes his face pop with that blue, its just so perfect on him in general. His whole look is soft yet strong. I love the gold banding on his antlers. Your ability to pair accents on your dragons is top notch. this accent fits so well against the darkness of his body, it really pops but in a nice blended sort of way. i love the scaling effect on his neck and the look of the wings along his body. Then blend of browns tans and gold are so pleasant as these are colors I dont often really like. And of coarse his little doggy friend is adorable! The purple really pops against the pinks and golds too! the sparkle is the perfect little bling this baby needs and gives it a almost arcane spacey feel, especially with the primal sight, everything on this baby just meshes so well! All of the absolute rule of cool unsubtlety and bulk of a chaos demon from Warhammer 40k -- I absolutely adore her. The base of her design is certainly her festival skin, and over its craggy molten surface, blue smoky hues of black and thick plumy greys are stacked. Pops of gold simmer throughout. She smolders almost. A smothering, polluting presence, certainly doesn't look like somebody that anyone would want to mess with. And her bio suggests she is very, very secure in that knowledge herself. Those candles on her flank and her jaw augmentation are the stars of the show to me, the candles for the tarry pop of blue contrast and the jaw piece for the jack-o-lantern grin it provides her from under the shade of her cowl. ----- [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/97129500][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/971296/97129500_350.png[/img][/url] [emoji=phoenix feather size=1] [emoji=gust size=1] [emoji=peacock feather size=1] A general note: I love how often Ruby appears in your lair! It's a massively under-appreciated hue of red, and you truly take advantage of its incredible accent colors. So, one of my favorite tertiaries is tomato koi. I think the blend of colors the artist chose for it is just so incredibly unique. This dragon is like if tomato koi just became an entire dragon, if that makes sense. Sabori is lovely, the sheen of bright green-blue that ruby soap provides really ties everything together, the mix of elegant wispy wind apparel with more stark, pointy plague apparel creates fun contrast that echoes the contrast of his coloration. The star details here are the cluster of butterflies around his neck and the cute teal gloves + ribbons the Mistral Bow provides. Jewel tone reds and deep teal blues are hushed into dusty hues with tongues of bright red still fighting to the fore, and the choice to accent this all with orange I think is really solid! Maybe it would be worth trying the aerugenous tassets on him to play with that teal/orange contrast? It is definitely the star of the show, with her outfit covering the rest of her colors, but the way you constructed the outfit makes it clear that these colors still influenced your choices. Her shimmering black mane ties in her cloak, while the sparse flecks of raspberry runes capture her eye color and are ramped in by the brighter purples of her apparel. Her fungal motif is extremely charming, and fitting of her fairytale whismical goth vibes. The new Mysterious Hunter's Garb would look great worked into her outfit, I bet. It's suitably ragged for a pirate and seems to almost have been tailored to the funky color scheme you've got going! You have a really unconventional eye for color, it feels like you build these outfits to synergize with a particular hue that catches your eye and it succeeds! In this case, of course, it's impossible to miss that seafoam color from her noxtide secondary. The blooming woodvine plucks it from her wingtips and pulls it down toward her chest, while her rags and cape bring the unearthly tone down a few notches so her oilslick primary can converse. ----- Next person: please skip tabs labeled with [emoji=block size=1] this icon and ignore invisible dragons.
