Rhys has been a landlubber for most of his life but has always had a fascination with the sea. He taught himself how to wield a cutlass in line with the best of sailors, learned sea shanties from the clan messengers and diplomats, and acquired a taste for rum that was difficult to quench in the humid jungles of the Viridian Labryinth. And while he is loathe to leave his new wife and children, his craving for the salty ocean air wins out and he promises them that he will return in glory and wealth.
A hard worker and loyal subordinate who never wavers or falters and a swift and agile swordsman, Rhys would not presume to ask for any rank higher than cabin boy. He's green and he knows it, however much he would like to be up in the rigging, walking the beams and unfurling the sails.

A tid bit about him:
Taro's past follows being a group of travelling merchants, and through some misadventure, ends up as a theif. Easily said, he's a dragon of many faces. It's either a fedora or a seaspray cap. He's rather smooth and considered a "player." He will legit flirt with anyone, but his loyalties lie way higher. He holds second to his job, greed. And does his job with the prospect of riches. Often, with blood lust, he gets way to carried away, and oftenly causes more trouble for him than if he didn't get into a fight. He is mightily quick working, and multitaskes like mad, being a Spiral. He also enjoys drink maybe a bit to much... Heck, he named one of his sons after a drink.
