No problem at all, and thank you very much for the offer! I actually do rather like the Sanguine secondary, so if it's alright I would love to hold out for that. But please, don't let me interrupt your breedings plans! I have absolutely no problem with waiting, so really if you wanted to breed your SDs next please don't feel like you shouldn't on my account. That would give me time to decide if I wanted to breed the girl I'm after with my Teige, or perhaps try to track down a male who might be able to reliably breed out this subspecies, haha.

I can wait for the coatl, no problem, gives me more time to move dragons out~ and that pair doesn't get much interest anyways so I don't breed them that often tbh lol, it's pretty niche I guess? But yeah, I'll let ya know when the next nest hatches ^^ Teige is pretty cute btw <3 He looks spooky

That's a shame they don't get much attention, their color scheme is so nice! Aww well thank you so much, I really appreciate this! Haha, thanks! I've been looking for a new mate for him that would have a better secondary color range than his first mate, and a hatchling from your pairs would not only be a perfect range but also have some pretty nice lore details to weave in so I couldn't resist. If I do put the two of them together, at least some Light Revenge dragons would come out of it!

I'm just curious, because I love the lore and idea behind this, but why focus primarily on skydancers and coatl other than for their feathering? I've seen plenty of other derg breeds (esp wc's and ridgies) that would look fantastic in this subspecies. Of course the ultimate decision is your own! I'm just wondering

Aw, thanku, black+white+red is my absolute favorite color combination so that really inspired this subspecies~ But yeah, if you do end up choosing him they'd make a pretty cool range (I say,
totally unbiased about pairs with two tight ranged colors and one wide range lol) and it'd be rad to see different flight Revenge dragons around, and the lore ^^

Honestly? I just like the way stripes looks on feathers a lot more than other breeds and when I started this stripes was going to be the only accepted secondary lol. I made a scry I really liked and based the subspecies around it but as I got into the game more (I came up with the idea a month after I joined and I was just really tunnel visioned with excitement about it '^^) I started expanding the color and gene requirements-need to update those again w/some of the new ones- but I haven't with the breeds. Haven't done much of anything more with this subspecies tbh because it never got interest, I've only kept the hub out of the necro range because ? I felt bad letting the work I put into the hub become useless I guess ?
Lore wise? I don't really think that skin or scales can be stained by pigments/blood?? I don't know for sure but I just remember reading guardians of ga'hoole and then watching the movie and one of the birds, Grimble, talked about how the antagonists made him stain his feathers different colors and that stuck with me.

With skydancers I figured their extra sensitivity to emotions and magic would mean they're more susceptible or sensitive to trauma, coatls... well their fading plumage superstition and how its a sign of bad omens and poor health could probably be translated into them being more susceptible to physical change as a result of trauma, and their quick tempers fit well. But mostly it's about looks X) Like, I think WCs look really rad in these colors but stripes on their wings just looks so off to me ? And some of the first kids I bred to try and make a pair for this coincidentally resulted in really cool ridgies imo but idk? I might expand the list to furred or non-scale species since I've expanded the genes but idk how much more effort I want to put into this (Since I'd probably have to think of and implement breed-flight specific lore for each added), it's really nice when I see people with hatchlings I've sold make lore with the subspecies or talk on this thread but it's kind of been a disappointment that I handed over to my grave keeper lol. Though now I'm tempted to clean this up over summer break, I have a feeling I got pretty rambly because I just do that, this reply is proof, and *Reads everything after 'however' in shadow lore*... edgy, I might be able to cut myself with some of the edge and dramatic suspense in here, though some of the stuff I've recently written is just as edgy so it it probably wouldn't change much with my apparent flair for the dramatic ~w~ We shall see...
But regardless, thank you for asking! As you can probably tell I like discussing these things X3

Haha, I'm with you on that type of color range being the best! I used to be pretty strict about close ranges, but after coming back from a hiatus my interests have totally shifted. I'm thinking I will throw the Revenge lady and Teige together after all, based on some lore ideas I'm coming up with. (A little early of me perhaps? Ah well) Sorry to see that the subspecies didn't quite take off, also! I hope it gets a little more attention in the future, it's quite nice for anyone after a rather tragic, grim character.

Yee I can understand that!I think the species looks p darn awesome, and thank you so much for explaining! It's a shame it didn't really take off, but perhaps expansion, if and when you should ever want to do so, may attract more attention! Either way you did a lovely job even as is or if future changes were to be made. uvu.

It's never too early for dragon lore! Lol, but yeah, it is what it is, the last batch of revenge kids I hatched sold pretty quickly though so I'm hoping that getting the kids out there will draw people into the lore X3

Yeah, expanding the breeds would likely help, I know I added coatls for that purpose, we shall see how my motivation is this summer lol. The big decision would be add them all or just a few more... Murderous faes and snappers... I'm not sure I feel that so probably only a few. But ye, thanku~! It means a lot to me and you've given me some things to mull over which usually leads to lore writing inspiration so <3
