Hello, everyone! I have some exciting news!
The lore has been finished, and there is a decent enough amount of interest that breeding, buying, and selling of Shadeholders is now open to the public!
Here is the lore explaining why Shadeholders choose the colorations that they do for the dragon bodies they possess:
Shadeholders choose their colors and genes based on the dragon body that Shade first chose - the body of Naomi. Choosing Naomi's body was a matter of convenience, but since then, the Shadeholders have all chosen bodies with similar coloration in order to maintain uniformity. It is much harder for the Shade to learn how to adapt to many different kinds of dragon bodies, so it chose to target similar dragon bodies for all of its drones.
And here is the abridged lore that will go in every Shadeholders bio:
Shadeholders are dragon skins embodied by the Shade. When a dragon dies, the Shade can reincarnate it and use the body to its own benefit. They are essentially the Shade with the ability to walk, talk, and think. They have a hive mind ultimately controlled by the first Shadeholder to ever exist - a Skydancer named Naomi. They are more intelligent in groups, but they often prefer to work alone. A Shadeholder is able to cause conflict in clans by shadetouching a dragon. If a Shadeholder causes a war to break out between clans, any dragons who are killed in the battle surrender the years of life they would have had remaining had they not died in battle to the Shadeholder who caused it. Causing conflict is how Shadeholders keep their dragon bodies youthful. Shadeholders are tricky and maniacal, and they believe that they are god-like. They refer to themselves as "Prophets of the Shade" or simply "The Prophets." It is common for Shadeholders to take after bits of their body's original owner's personality. Even with the pieces of individuality that they express, a drone Shadeholder is nothing without its hive queen.

@Kationi Certainly! If you'd like to make her one, then you have my approval. Just be sure to put this in her bio:

@wesleydog Thanks a lot! I added the text to her bio. I'll write some personal lore and give her apparel later ^^ By the way, is the style of apparel limited? Do shadeholders prefer skulls, hoods etc.?

@Kationi Their personal preference is anything that makes them feel hidden or anything that would be considered "dark" or "evil," but it is not unlike Shadeholders to dress in other apparel when trying to fit in :)
@TangleFeather Yup, she's perfect! Just be sure to put the little bio blurb (two posts above) in her bio and she's good to go!

@WesleyDog
Yay! It's alll in her bio and, I have another question about her;
Before I asked if she could become a shadeholder, she already had a set mate. May I use him still to mate with her?
