Last round I'd hatched and chosen my heir, the guardian. I couldn't find a perfect mate, but close enough. She had nearly the exact colours and offered a chance to upgrade the primary gene.

I'm choosing the second hatchling as my heir, simply because the tert has moved closer to the colour I need. I'm aiming for a breed upgrade this time, whilst moving the colours further closer to my goal. Here's the mate I picked:

Breed upgrade, tert gene upgrade, and the secondary and tert's colours are so close to what I need!
I'm undecided on a mate - finding something with the right colours is a little tricky so I think I'm going to just give up on colours and try to breed Iridescent in for now as I think that's going to take a while!

I randomized 3 tabs and this was my favorite!

He rolled Rare eyes, so not a perfect match but still pretty cute. After all that I dunno if I wanna keep him though.
It took 8 generations of dragons, 10 nests, and a little over 8 months.

That's Ginger Giraffe/Thicket Seraph/Aqua Okapi The random has Light facet, which is very unlikely, but who knows! I'm thinking i might rent light nests once I get within a few generations of the potential bab.
