Actually really proud of this; I think it's one of my best tablet doodles yet despite just having one color on Multiply and Soft Light, respectively, for the shadows and highlights. [center] I was just going to do a quick doodle of Elaphe in a flannel with some Demoliton Lovers references. I wanted to practice patterns before I did it for a UMA concept I'm considering as an injoke with a friend. Then I realized that while I was TRYING to draw a pastiche of the yandereface, it actually looked really sincere, which told a way more interesting story and...tldr; this happened. Here's a fun fact - despite how much I love them, scene checkerboards are...tedious to draw. Especially if you are like me and instead of putting the colors into your pattern in Photoshop like a reasonable person, you do the pattern in black and figure you'll paint-bucket it, forgetting that CSP kinda sucks at anything that doesn't involve anti-aliasing. So you get possessed by the vengeful spirit of 2019-you who goes for their classic kludge of "screw it; let's just do gradients". It's a flatcolor pic anyway. Anyway, I like the floofs here. [center] Drawing of some old OCs. Like, 2013 old. All original pics of their designs have been lost (or, in the case of the dude, never existed) so this is mostly guesswork based on vague memory. Some of the anatomy's kinda wonky, I must admit, but I'm pretty proud of the pose concept, outfit designs, and finally getting a dude who looks like a dude. Number 1, I didn't realize how much I missed these snaky kiddos, and Number 2, I'm very proud of...everything about this, really.
