Art styles; what do you mean?
Art is like a fingerprint, each person has a unique way of drawing; made possible by how an artists thinks, their likes, or just how they move their drawing hand. Orosius' three artworks in the banner above all have different styles: Adventure Time, Don't Starve, and Kleptocat; the same dragon was drawn with different looks to their outline.
I'm not good at choosing styles, can you help?
Of course! You can ask for ideas in a comment, or use Google to see more examples. Some popular styles could include: Disney, anime, Pokemon, Zelda, Pixar, Animal Crossing, Cartoon Network shows, video games, Picasso, your own style, ect. Why not try to make up a new style with a theme, like: blocky, curvy, pixel, lineless, realistic, simplified, chibi, ect.
Can I choose an art style that someone else has done here?
Yes! Some of the coolest art styles are the most popular and well-known. Do what you like; take inspiration from them and your fellow FR artists.
Does it have to be digital art?
No! You can choose any art medium: paper, pencils, pens, paints, clay, 3D pen/print, sewing, knitting, or digital art. Anything goes.
How must time should I spend on each style?
Devote as much or as little time to your art as you want. Everyone is busy these days with work or school. This challenge could be something you can do in your spare minutes before class, or maybe this will be a warm up before your main art projects. The artwork can be sketched or fully realised: head-shot, bust, or full body. There is no expectations or pressure; this challenge is for you to relax, unwind, and just draw.
How quickly do I have to complete this challenge?
NO TIME LIMIT! I cannot stress this enough, their is no rush to finish it; otherwise it will feel like a chore instead of something fun. This challenge was created from the
10 Art Styles Challenge by
DeathCap in 2019. I only just finished my third style now, the beginning of 2022.
I'm not very good at drawing, is that OK?
You don't even need to ask, of course that's OK!! The whole point of this challenge is to get you interested in drawing. Share your drawings or be a lurker, we're all just trying to have good fun.
Does it have to be a fodder dragon?
YES, let's rescue some dergs! This challenge should not cost you much, ideally less than 20kt/g. There is some wriggle room if your new fodder dragon is, say, 25 gems. A lot of fodders are actually beautiful! Can't find one you like? There are literally hundred or thousands of new ones every day. You'll soon find one to suit your aesthetic.
What do I do with the fodder dragon after I complete the challenge?
Keep it, sell it, or exalt it (but that would be a waste)! Dragons with art will usually receive a higher AH price or more attention in the Dragon Sales forum. Though maybe, this fodder dragon will slowly become an irreplaceable member of your clan.
Can I keep drawing more after 3 styles?
Absolutely! Make as many as you like, each one would be a nice bonus. Or, you could find a new fodder dragon and start again!

Well done! You've had fun (hopefully) and improved your art skills! Maybe one day, I will make a celebratory badge/icon to display on your profile or dragon's page if there is enough interest.
