Sleipnir smiled to himself as he took in the pleasant surroundings of Singer’s Brook. It was every bit as lovely as he’d hoped. He settled for a moment, taking advantage of the shelter and enjoying the frogs’ music. Before he moved on, he retrieved a piece of parchment and wrote down a quick note to tell them how much he had enjoyed the song - it seemed like the least he could do to show his appreciation, and he didn’t want to interrupt and spoil the tranquility of the spot.

Leave a note to let them know how lovely their song is

Your path: Lost Path

You take the rubber ducky. You have no idea how - or if - it will be useful.

No sooner have you grabbed it than the pile starts moving. You spook... but thankfully it looks like the pile only has a bunch of rats in it. Still, you do not want to bother with the rats again. (Also, the story writer does not want to write an option for you to play with the rat-infested pile. Sorry!)

The wind has died down, so you step outside. The storm has left a mess of tangled bamboo and scattered debris.

You look down at the rubber ducky.

Do you:
  1. Keep going?
  2. Stop to play with the rubber ducky?
  3. See if the amulet will make it more useful?
