The screech of a rusted hinge on a half rotted wooden sign is all that is visible welcoming you into a break between the clustered copses that you've been twining through for an indeterminate amount of time.
The lazy blinking of fireflies illuminates the word "Mistwood" gouged out haphazardly into the grain, with more text underneath indecipherable through the wear of time. It seems that the dense fog that blankets the area covers the land from the vigilance of many things, including the sun and time itself.
The place you've entered is recklessly eternal, and you get the feeling that the residents you may encounter made a very permanent decision.

He observes as a blast of purple energy sends the hatchlings flying with a gentle thud- his mothers had told him tales of the toad’s battle prowess, but were confident in the fact that no harm would come to the hatchlings at the hands of the unlikely mage. Whatever the secret was, he was confident he was ready to travel the world in search of the same power. Nilus, Nepheli, and Cadel -

Nilus is the older sibling of the three. He came from a past clutch, but chose to stay in the mist rather than leave with his brother Bala. During his extended stay, his mothers, Vayle and Sealius, laid another clutch. He took it upon himself to be their big brother and watch them grow with Ewei.

Nepheli and Cadel are from the same clutch.
