I would love to hear any feedback and criticism that you have.

The Lucanidae Clan has long been interested in lettering, calligraphy, mark-making and inscriptions of almost any kind!

Meridia, the clans eldest and wisest dragon, who teaches many of the young, has spent countless years doing field research all over Sornieth and she has scroll case upon scroll case of academic texts, some of which point towards this topic. She has been a great help to the clan leaders in identifying and translating strange symbols and sigils - an interest that the Matriarch of Lucanidae, Kynareth, has long held and has inspired in many other clan members during their time with her.

Vapula, while studying and training to compose her Songs of the Shrieking Wilds, accrued a large collection of sheet music and idiosyncratic visual scores (often written, or drawn, in nearly illegible glyphs) from all over Sornieth - with the help of her father Moloch. While her brother, Murmur, was the first long-term successful student of calligraphy under the tutelage of a clan member who would come to be defined by this role ... Ammitai

Welcome to Lucanidae Lettering! Here I will be showcasing some lettering I have made (and, as you may have noticed, some accompanying lore) - I hope you like it.

Many of them worship The Shade and other off-world entities that have long been perceived as against the dragon life of Sornieth - while some argue this is a misinterpretation others readily embrace this fatalistic thinking. This sub-sect of the Clan first arrived in The Second Age.

It would appear there is an unintentional fine line border to some of the larger images. Have I made them too large for forum threads? Any help preventing this happening again in the future would be greatly appreciated.

PS - I am subbed to this thread so there's no need to ping me - but you can still ping if you'd like to.

Hey there! I really like this charmingly-wobbled effect your lettering has, it's both whimsical and eerie!

About the grey borders--my guess is they're part of the image file itself (rather than a product of the images' interaction with the post format). If you haven't already, you could try cropping one of the grey-bordered images a tad and see if that makes the grey go away?

Thank you @Snowshinobi - that means a lot coming from you!

I will try that. I think you're right, I'm really not sure how it happened in the image editing process though, I'm so bamboozled by it.

@Snowshinobi

I finally did as you said and cropped them and it worked like a charm, so thank you so much! I'm hoping to revamp this thread and add a whole lot more to it this year.
