It is not a cult of killers and demons (although their leader... well-). The Cult accepts new members after deeming them worthy, but the criteria for such are unknown to all but their Leader. The Cult specializes in healing what others think incurable, saving those thought to be unsalvageable. They do not discriminate between dragons nor monsters, beastclan nor deity; to them, all who enter the Cult (seeking aid, refuge, healing...) are equal, so long as they share a roof. They accept all manner of individuals into their Family, so long as Njada says they may become part of it. Once approved, the new member may spent some time trying to decide what "ranks" they should join, learning as an apprentice, or be appointed to one immediately by Njada herself. Inside the Cult, one must pledge their loyalty to Njada and only her, severing their ties to anything they belonged to prior. One can still visit their old roaming grounds and Clan, but once a Member of the Cult, this has become their new Home, and where they will reside for the rest of their life as a Member. Those who defect and abandon the Cult have never been heard from again. Those who attempt to betray their loyalty to Njada have vanished shortly before their first try at such. Surrounded by a large circumference of "plantlife"- or as close as you can get to normal plants in the Plague domain- and the remains of giant beasts, the Cult's headquarters is often confused as being a mirage by those who have been wandering for too long in the wastelands. The larger part of it's quarters are located underground, and the building most see and associate with the Cult's main body is, for lack of a better term, the "greeting room"- a terrifying exterior and a beautifully decorated interior, Gothic in nature, to appeal to newcomers and make them feel a wide range of sensations (most notably, awe, respect, intrigue, and a pinch of unease). Of course, this building isn't merely decorative; many members, mainly Ritualists and Apprentices, spend the majority of their time here, alongside Seekers and a handful of Sentinels or Guards. The centrepiece of this "Church" is the [b]Ceremonial Chamber[/b]: a lavishly decorated room, illuminated by candles of white, orange and red flames, with black, red and white wax. The cool air in here smells of dust and secrets, of melting wax and stone, promises and incense. It is here that one would most likely come to seek out Njada, the Gaoler often found seated behind a podium at the far end of the Chamber, reading a tome or seemingly materializing out of an unseen side door at just the precise moment. The Acolytes refer to it as Ichor- blood of the Gods (or, Goddess)- and Cult members brave enough to approach the site compare it to tar, bitumen, petroleum, or some foul concoction of melted bones and viscous blood. An elegant, albeit sinister, bone-decorated building containing the Altar is located in the center of the pit atop a small island, facing the Chapel. The building is known only as the "Shrine", and only a select few Ritualists and Acolytes are allowed inside, always accompanied by Njada herself. What goes on inside this Shrine is a mystery to all but those who have witnessed the interior- but be warned, for if you enter without blessing nor protection, you will find it nigh impossible to leave... alive, in any case. A sense of dread and foreboding strikes you like lightning immediately upon entry, and Njada's smile indicates that this is to be expected. She leads you to the Altar, a huge bone embedded into the ground and cut clean to provide a smooth table-like surface. It is cold to the touch, no matter how much you try to warm it. Here, many speculate that Zealots are created, Members are blessed into Acolytes, and ungodly transformations take place. here, you are being observed. Here, you are not alone. It is advised to only enter the Chapel at night, under the guise of moonlight, for the Chapel's true powers manifest only then. The ceiling is made of reinforced carved glass, so as to make both moons in the sky visible from any point inside the Chapel. In the center of the Chapel, directly under the moon's zenith, stands a statue of an unknown being, appearing to be female, decorated in large gnarled horns, countless candles, and a long tail curved around her legs. Her eyes are made of some type of red stone, which Cult members call "Goat's Eye". If you do not want to confide in the Eternal Mother for guidance, perhaps the Chapel's denizens will be able to help; various statues of varying size line the Chapel's inside walls, each pertaining to a certain creature, which guards an "Emotion", also called a "Feeling": Rage, Numbness, Sadness, Depression, Anxiety, Dreams, Non-Conformity, Security, Knowledge, Indecision, Time, Death and Life. [i]Hauke, Jiva, Naina, Akuji, Deidre, Torpor, Chagrin, Kyokaku, Thieny, Janus, Czas, Zherneboh and Anedjti.[/i] To seek help one must provide an offering and light a colored candle at the foot of the statue they wish to "speak" to. Dragons and Creatures from all over Sornieth visit this Chapel, coming and going in silence, under the cold, blank gaze of njada's statues. They appear to be close, despite the male's adamant denial of such emotions being a possibility. But the fact remains that Njada's Cult shares in location with these labs, the harsh blue and green lights a stark contrast to her mysterious candlelight. Carpeted stone floors make way for reinforced titanium hallways, elegant tapestry and bones give away to chains and an infinite amount of pipes, vents and tubes. There is more than one entryway to these underground labs, but they are not well known- not as much as the main entrance, anyway. Natural caves turn into steel rooms, test tubes large enough to house entire Imperials line the walls and control rooms are sealed away behind mechanic doors. Morderyn stalks his halls, keeping an eye on all of his experiments, as his subordinates- experiments themselves- carry out the tasks they are given. Many times, Cult Members can be seen aiding Morderyn, supplying materials, carrying messages between both Cult and Labs, or simply having gotten lost in the maze of tunnels and ending up in the cold underground facility. When asking Njada why she even [i]considered [/i]working with an Emperor obsessed with experimentation, she will only smile; best not ask her again. The portal is disguised deep down in the frozen caverns of the Clan, made out of ice and ribs belonging to some unknown behemoth. The portal leads to a special chamber inside the Cult dedicated to Ysbraviar, where they can clean themselves of snow and frost before making their way into the Cult proper. The Cult of Mor is a relatively secretive organization built around the idea that Life and Death should be respected, celebrated and honored. It is not a cult of killers and demons (although their leader... well-). The Cult accepts new members after deeming them worthy, but the criteria for such are unknown to all but their Leader.

ZdW3Rr3.png Location & Appearance
Like a wound in the center of the world, the Scarred Wasteland continues a campaign of destruction that began in an age where the Plaguebringer only had one enemy: her sister the Gladekeeper. Rot and runaway viruses pulse through the landscape, infecting the terrain as it spreads ever outward in a sick spiral of death and decay...
Plaguelands
The Cult has grown its roots in the depths of the Abiding Boneyard, where the arid, growing wastes that make up the majority of this land are broad and deadly, even for denizens hardened by biological adaptation. Few plague dragons make the trek from the thriving borderlands to the cauldron at the heart of the region, but those that do tell stories of travelers becoming lost for centuries, or even eternity. Njada's Podium
The first thing you'll see, and the first place you'll enter.
The Cult itself is located in a large imposing building, one which you could compare to a massive Church or Chapel. Surrounded by a large circumference of "plantlife"- or as close as you can get to normal plants in the Plague domain- and the remains of giant beasts, the Cult's headquarters is often confused as being a mirage by those who have been wandering for too long in the wastelands. Of course, this building isn't merely decorative; many members, mainly Ritualists and Apprentices, spend the majority of their time here, alongside Seekers and a handful of Sentinels or Guards.

The centrepiece of this "Church" is the Ceremonial Chamber: a lavishly decorated room, illuminated by candles of white, orange and red flames, with black, red and white wax. Bones and skulls of various creatures are commonplace in most every room of this Chapel, ranging from animal to beast and dragon alike.

Czarnobiór
Njada's own Wyrmwound, albeit.... arguably worse
Unlike the Wyrmwound, focused on disease and pestilence, the black pit known as Czarnobiór is of a far more sinister origin.

The Altar
Rituals, Sacrifices, Offerings, Transformations...
Once obtained Njada's blessing to enter the Shrine, you will encounter the Altar, locked behind an antechamber decorated with chandeliers, and two hooded figures- Sentries- which deny entry save for those whom Njada has brought with her.

Two-Moons Chapel
The Full Moons of Sornieth are a strange sight to behold...
To reach this Chapel one must first pass through the Gardens, down a designated stone path lit by candles and candleposts.
Hauke, Jiva, Naina, Akuji, Deidre, Torpor, Chagrin, Kyokaku, Thieny, Janus, Czas, Zherneboh and Anedjti.
To seek help one must provide an offering and light a colored candle at the foot of the statue they wish to "speak" to. Dragons and Creatures from all over Sornieth visit this Chapel, coming and going in silence, under the cold, blank gaze of njada's statues.

Morderyn's Laboratories
also known as Research Site #812-255X
An eccentric two-headed imperial, known as Morderyn, shares his laboratories with Njada's Cult lands, allowed to make his home there by the very Leader Herself.
When asking Njada why she even considered working with an Emperor obsessed with experimentation, she will only smile; best not ask her again.

Frostbite Portal
Ysbraviar's frozen gateway into the Cult
The Cult of Mor, being affiliated with Clan Ysbraviar, has provided them with a special Portal, one which allows the Clan members to transport themselves directly into the Cult. Njada often waits for members of her allied Clan in that very room, knowing when they will arrive.

"Blood Pond Hell"
Chinoike Jigoku ("Blood Pond Hell" or "Red Hell") is a pocket dimension only accessible from a single portal inside the Cult of Mor, the land inside reminiscent of a perpetual winter forest landscape, where every body of water and plant is red, and the lanterns and candles shine pale blue. Here the Paleblood Disciples practice Hemalurgy (blood magic), and all subsequent branches of the same nature (hemomancy, hematophagy, hematology...)

She doesn't speak much due to her voice sounding hoarse and whispery, like sand, but she has a kind heart, and makes sure that if any candle goes out in he Cult, she's there to relight it herself. She does not mean ill, and only does as told by Njada. If she finds an individual in need of help, but they are unable to traverse the distance back to the Cult, she will carry them herself, with no issue. When she is not on any mission, Qarinah will act as an impenetrable, intimidating guard. [/columns] [Columns][b]Mair [Healer][/b] A very laid back serpentine Coatl, Mair is the 'link' between plague and nature in the Cult. She is their healer and potions-master, as well as the Judge: Mair decides whether an individual is worth saving/healing, or if they are a lost cause. With a flick of her tongue she can taste the illness on someone, and those that will be able to survive she sends to heal; those that cannot are given a quiet, painless rest. Mair could be described as "going with the flow", her movements and behavior all mesmerizing to observe as she slithers to and fro... She converses with snakes more than she does with other dragons. He was allowed to stay, and now silently floats from one bookshelf to another, illuminating the halls with his never-fading glow. He does not have to talk to understand someone, and can speak in all languages known and unknown, new and forgotten by time. Some form of plant-based Necromancy, apparently. These are merely rumors, however, and all that is truly known about Mycotina is that he has become the Cult's "gardener", tending to an array of plants many are not able to approach due to a multitude of reasons (poisonous spores, carnivorous tendencies, grasping tendrils...). Occasionally, when presented with an individual, Toska will be able to prophesize their futures, speaking in her unknown language. [/columns] [Columns][b]Seath [Undecided Member][/b] Among dragons there is a condition that some are born with that limits scale growth. These dragons have few to no scales and are quite vulnerable with exposed skin. In some places of Sornieth many of these dragons will gather together to make a clan. However, she found immediate refuge in the Cult, and after returning to full health, she decided to stay and make this place her home. Their egos have been inflated to the point that some consider themselves to be direct children on Njada, who has become their new 'Goddess'. They do not care for any other Gods, and actively belittle those that have not joined the Cult yet. Their pearl, now devoid of its previous soul, may act as a prison for a new one... And those that reside inside
GLs9auY.png
Verigost [Acolyte, Oracle]
An unreadable Tundra of the subspecies Lycaon, though technically "undead". She is Njada's right-hand-woman, an advisor and helper in whatever the Gaoler may need. She's always seen close to Njada, though never getting in her way. She's quiet and unnerving to most anyone who sees her; she doesn't seem to be able to express emotions like others do, but she has subtle body language you may learn. They say she specializes in necromancy, yet no one can confirm this.

56507693p.png
68049814p.png Thana [Acolyte, Sentinel]
An extremely tough Skydancer both physically and mentally, Thana often serves as the Cult's "conflict resolver", mainly due to the albino zealots always snapping at each other and Thana, being the only one they "fear", has to step in every time- which she does with pleasure. A warrior and huntress, Thana serves the Cult where anything physical is involved, and her piercing glare is enough to subdue the most unruly of dragons, no matter the size. Did I mention she's a lycan?
Tatianna [Acolyte, Ritualist]
A Witch hailing from some land in the far North, Tanya bears a very noticeable accent no one can identify. She's enigmatic and a bit eccentric, her aura being rather characteristic and hard to miss. She's knowledgeable in herbology and natural remedies no one has heard of; her haunting headdress is yet to be verified as being decorative, or her actual head.
64999521p.png
55150475p.png Avon [Acolyte, Oracle]
No one truly knows how Avon came to exist, nor what she did or was before the Cult, but that doesn't matter anymore, as she is well loved now. They know her as a fire oracle, a being capable of telling one's fate from the flames of a candle lit by her blessed eyes. She doesn't speak much due to her voice sounding hoarse and whispery, like sand, but she has a kind heart, and makes sure that if any candle goes out in he Cult, she's there to relight it herself.
Mei [Aspiring Acolyte, still trying to find herself]
She hasn't yet earned her right to become an Acolyte, but her endless devotion towards Njada (which borders on obsessive admiration) is slowly setting her on the right path. That said, first she must come to realize that merely being devoted to the Leader doesn't guarantee her anything; she must learn the Cult's philosophies and true, core meaning before she can even hope of becoming one of Njada's loyal Acolytes.

She was part of Mord's old tests, and upon seeing Njada for the first time, became mindlessly devoted to her, as she was seen as "salvation". Unfortunately she died at Mord's hands, but her devotion made Njada take her mangled, transfigured corpse and raise her back as a Vicar. Now she serves as a teacher to new Acolytes and Ritualists, as well as being in charge of creating and taking care of newly created Zealots.

Iluzja [Patron of wishes, no discernable role]
Birthed from the surplus of desires, wishes and colliding magicks in the Cult- with a little help from Njada- a multiheaded draconic creature formed. She is still searching for a befitting name, and Her purpose is to grant wishes and serve as a "patron" for thieves, the loyal, and the misfortuned. While not a deity as Njada is, the fox-headed creature is the one you would wish to in order to avoid bad luck; for example, upon crossing a rickety bridge, you'd wish for bad luck to look away and not find you.

Calyptra [Cleaner]
Once Nature-born and proud, Calyptra's life changed drastically after an incident with the Wyrmwound. She survived it's depths by means unknown, and was granted a "new life", now embracing Plague as her new calling, while still holding strong ties to her old Flight. She has an odd affinity for butterflies and acid, and these little insects are said to flutter around the whole Cult, especially after someone has passed, giving the pace an eerie, yet beautiful feeling. They say her butterflies are capable of secreting the same acid as she does.
Sarcogyps [Ritualist, Cleaner]
One of the most highly esteemed members of his order, not only for his years of experience but his unique style of "art". He is on the serious spectrum, personality wise, and extremely efficient with his work- he would rather do something himself than correct you and needlessly waste words. His speciality lies with bone-preparation, "vulture culture" you could say. His adornments and artifacts are all painstakingly crafted by hand, meticulously detailed, and proudly utilized all over the Cult's premises. He is always in search of new bones and fresh sacrifices.
64144129p.png

61381550p.png
Ossifrage [Cleaner, Ritualist]
This Pearlcatcher has become known for her vulture-like behavior amongst Cleaners, particularly her love of bones. And not just in a decorative sense- Ossifrage will dispose of unusable parts by eating them whole, using her potent stomach acids to dissolve chunks that no ordinary dragon could process. She's an essential part of the Cleaners' group, and will often show newbies the ropes of the Role. Ritualists often have to come to her quickly however, because she has a habit of stealing bones meant for ritualistic purposes as well as the chunks no one wants-
Kuzora [Ritualist; Herbologist]
( Insert her lore here soon, once i get some good ideas that aren't just fragments )
77103944p.png
54190639p.png Hemlock [Oracle; Serpent of Contagion]
He teaches others about Life and Death, helping them believe in the Cult's teachings using himself as an example due to his ability to manipulate death. He's twins with Acacia, forming the Serpents of Contagion duo. They are two of Njada's most trusted and valuable members.
Goshawk [Undefined]
Also called the Undead Minstrel, Goshawk is an odd addition to Njada's family. In life, he was a wonderful singer, capable of enchanting all who listened to him. He sung for anyone who wanted to listen, to help cheer you up or drown you in sorrow. Such was the power of his voice that some had come to fear him, and the poor Minstrel was ambushed, his vocal chords destroyed and tongue ripped out. Njada, taking pity upon the artist, helped bring him back to life. No one knows how he still manages to sing...
51643619p.png
84086913p.png Qarinah [Seeker, Guard]
Having started off her life as a hunter and warrior, it is unknown how the female has been recruited into Njada's ranks. Now, however, she serves as a valuable Seeker; her resistance allows her to travel distances that many other dragons would be abhorred to even thinks about, and its been discovered recently that her words are calm, yet extremely manipulative. She does not mean ill, and only does as told by Njada. If she finds an individual in need of help, but they are unable to traverse the distance back to the Cult, she will carry them herself, with no issue. When she is not on any mission, Qarinah will act as an impenetrable, intimidating guard.
Mair [Healer]
A very laid back serpentine Coatl, Mair is the 'link' between plague and nature in the Cult.

56764654p.png

59468907p.png
Ciern
A lone member of the Banescale subspecies, the Briar Banshee. Ciern was taken into the Cult as an "adopted" member, given that she herself doesn't play a role in the rituals and preparations. She is looked over by Njada herself, the olde Gaoler showing her the many intricacies of living independently. Ciern, as her subspecies indicates, is looking for a "King" to serve, and in a bizarre twist of events, her heart has locked itself onto the least expected candidate: a two headed Emperor by the name of Morderyn. When he is within the secure walls of the Cult, she is seen trudging by his side, making sure she serves him in whatever he may need.
Zhulong [Archivist]
A creature born from the smoke of sacred burnt knowledge, an ethereal mixture of light and death. Zhulong found himself attracted to the Cult's vast hoard of texts and scriptures soon after being created, and was later found by Njada, in her Library, transcribing an old text that previously no one was able to translate. He was allowed to stay, and now silently floats from one bookshelf to another, illuminating the halls with his never-fading glow. He does not have to talk to understand someone, and can speak in all languages known and unknown, new and forgotten by time. He mainly keeps to himself in the Library, and answers questions exactly as they need to be answered; nothing more, nothing less.
53100750p.png

57160316p.png
Pythia [Beast Master]
While Fiona may be in charge of familiars we all know and love, Pythia takes in Everything else. Failed creatures, anomalies, freaks of nature, beasts... She takes in rejects, and loves them dearly. Fiona has fame for taking care of the babies everyone loves and adores, but Pythia is happy to take in the "failures" everyone casts aside for dead. She is head BeastMaster of Cult Mor, and she, herself, is a "failed beast"...
Mycotina [Healer, Herbalist]
Rumors have it that Mycotina is not truly alive- not in the traditional sense. Many speculate that the large Guardian is a semi-reanimated corpse, using the influence of fungal platlife to bring his system back into a functioning state. He does not seem affected by the plantlife, and also appears to share a connection with Calyptra and her many butterflies.
62926682p.png
69965777p.png Toska [Archivist, Oracle]
A descendant of Gamayun, Toska stays within the Archives most of her time, preferring the company of old books and the silence of candles over dragons'. She takes great care in writing tomes herself, as her voice is often indecipherable, and written down it won't be forgotten- even if it's not understood. Occasionally, when presented with an individual, Toska will be able to prophesize their futures, speaking in her unknown language.
Seath [Undecided Member]
Among dragons there is a condition that some are born with that limits scale growth. These dragons have few to no scales and are quite vulnerable with exposed skin. In some places of Sornieth many of these dragons will gather together to make a clan. Unfortunately this means the gene is almost guaranteed to be passed down to their offspring, but it does also offer a bit of safety in numbers as well as understanding.
49551340p.png
60932010p.png DNA [Undefined]
He's reclusive and keeps to himself due to worrying about his eyes making other hate him. He likes "dead" plants and places that people usually don't go to. However, sometimes his calm personality snaps- a sort of BPD you can say- and he has random bursts of violence, hostility and aggression. They don't last long but he's been kept in cages and even a coliseum once as a Beast. Now he just lives in a forgotten forest, and considers the Cult as his home and family. Some say he is an emperor that Njada has managed to "cure"...
Abrastil [Albino Crow]
Hailing from a subspecies of Albino Crow wildclaws, Abrastil doesn't remember much of her life before wandering into the Cult, one leg in Death's door and fearing that this place would turn her away as well. However, she found immediate refuge in the Cult, and after returning to full health, she decided to stay and make this place her home. It's unknown how she and Gwyllt came to know each other, but it is known that they share a sort of "bond", akin to partnership; a rare occurance for Zealots, but a welcome one.
68157944p.png
52030548p.png Gwyllt [Albino Zealot]
A lack of melanin has made this dragon creature paler than the rest. It's skin and scales tend to be thinner and prone to ripping, however they possess marvellous healing properties, allowing their injuries to heal faster. They are skinnier than other variations, and almost entirely nocturnal due to their sensitive skin. Some individuals have nearly see-through skin, with bright veins visible underneath; some individuals are partially covered in a thin membrane like one would find on the inside of an egg.
Apistos [Albino Zealot]
Their pearl becomes obsolete to these Zealots, and yet they still carry it around for deceptive reasons. They tend to have 3 horns and an aversion to pure sunlight- not because it hurts them, but because they do not like the soothing warmth.
67364831p.png
46105828p.png Itsumade [Wandering Spirit]
The strange bird creature flies about in circles all night long, crying out in a terrible voice. He got named this for his horrible cry of “Itsumademo?” which means, “Until when?” The birds appear to be asking those below how long will this suffering go unnoticed. It is thought that the spirits of the dead and suffering form into onry? which took the shape of this dragon-bird. They demand recognition of their suffering and torment.

Banished from her old cult due to their cruel teachings, Nyx was left bitter and angry at how they had treated her. She sought to strengthen herself and prove her worth, though on her journey she met yet another Cult member, Qarinah. Refusing to go with her initially, Nyx continued on her way and fought for her survival- until she could fight no more, and fell; Reawakening in the Cult of Mor much to her surprise, Nyx realized that this new place... could be her new home. A new family, where she'd train under the same Guardian that brought her there.
