~ The Gods may not interact nor interfere much without upsetting the balance so they can, instead, send omens, blessings, or even choose personal "champions" to represent their will
~ Gods wish for their Flights to collectively participate in Dominance as they wish for their underlings to grow stronger in order to fight off dangerous beings such as the Shade.

Going back to the "champions:" Champions may be chosen by one, few, several, or even all Gods. The more Gods a single champion has backing from, the more powerful they may be. It means that they have gotten all of their attention and clawpicked or, if one or a few pick them out, then the rest have agreed with the few's decision. The Gods must be careful, however. Being picked as more Gods champions, the more power they receive. Their entire bodies may mutate in order to contain such a magnitude of power. All creatures may reach the levels of the Gods but with the back of themselves, champions have access to any "easier" way. If the champion chooses to turn on creation, then the Gods may be very well facing down one as strong as them who they picked directly.

~ Loose HC: Emperor dragons are a failed attempt at making champions even stronger. The first Emperor was formed because a God decided to fuse many fallen champion Imperials magical energies into one in an attempt to make a single, stronger champion in order to combat a superior force that the champions have been defeated by. I mean. They succeeded. But they made a situation so much worse.

On Sornieth, there are a total of eleven Gods and eleven Flights, each representing one of those Gods. All eleven have claimed and stuck to one territory each.

An El Champion, a champion chosen and supporting by all eleven Gods, may receive many boons from their choosers.

Earthshaker - Champions of ES may find themselves able to take on physical damage and better deal it at any time. They are better able to manipulate the earth around them as they see fit. Within the boundaries of Dragonhome, a Champion may find themselves better remembering things they may have thought they have forgotten. They may also call on a bit of power directly from their ancestors legacies.

Windsinger - Champions of WS may find themselves faster both on land and in flight at any time. They appear to become more agile as well, dodging long-ranged attacks with ease. Within the boundaries of the Windswept Plateau, a Champion may find themselves having a better sense of direction so long as they let themselves go. They may better find that they can connect to complete strangers easier.

Flamecaller - Champions of FC may find themselves more tolerant to high temperatures and fire-based attacks. Their attacks may appear to be more brutally dished out. Within the boundaries of the Ashfall Waste, a Champion ---.

Why, exactly, is Cia the Element of Faith? She's been in the adventuring business for a significant of time. Within that time, she has met many ponies and creatures, both good and... not so good alike. She's also joined up with many others for a time. None of them have been permanent, however. In her line of business, one must be willing to trust, with their lives even. Cia has great trust in her abilities and also looks for significant abilities/specialties in others that have that she can count on and leave to them.

Light blue swirl. Windy says it represents her speed in the sky. It's still present on all her forms. She can NEVER get rid of it/magically hide it. She can only cover it up. It's dead giveaway in all her forms if someone knows she's a changeling. It was originally apart of her changeling form since birth but she says its a Cutie Mark as Whirlwind. It is always covered up in all forms but Whirlwind.

Abilities:
Flight: Both her Changeling and main Pony form have wings, which can be used for flight. She happens to be a fast flyer as well (hence the name she has picked for her pony form).
Changeling Mimicry: As a Changeling, Echo has the ability to change the appearance of her form. She can not, however, perform magic her species typically can’t (such as breathing fire, breathing underwater, etc).
Illusions: Echo has some grasp of illusions outside her forms. She often uses these skills to escape after stealing and evade capture.

I like to think she steals is because she, as a Changeling, "used" to have instincts to steal love from others in order to sustain herself. She does it out of instinct, not truly malicious intentions.

*She says she’s 28. She really isn’t. She’s just as long-lived as Alicorns (I assume) tend to be. Thanks to her constant isolation and travel, there are few to no records of her and so she can slip by.
Height: 5’4”
*(this may or may not be seen as unusual for a non-Alicorn pony *hint hint* lol. I’ve tried to make her between Celestia’s and Luna’s heights but there’s no clear/consistent answer in many websites. She's certainly taller than most normal, non-Alicorn ponies though.)

Originally: A blooming, purple blue, six petaled flower with icy blue flecks of magic dust coming from a glowing, white middle with a blue border. (The below picture, but of the closest one. The stem is partially included.)
Present: The same thing but flecks of magic slowly darken. (Nothing actually comes out of the Cutie Mark. It’s just visual. Wanted to make that clear to myself lol.) The middle may follow.

Abilities:
Earth Pony Magic: Explains why she’s so good with plants and animals.
(Gained, Formerly) Wings: To Petal, her wings represent “travel” and “bridge” magically. Her wings allow her not only the magic and flight of the Pegasi but the ability to travel between locked away lands and sometimes, magically blocked areas. As she does not have her wings any longer, she has lost the ability to “bridge.” As her wings are the bridge to her Earth pony magic and Unicorn magic, she has further suffered from when she lost them. Her Unicorn magic is hard to connect to and highly unstable and uncontrollable due to this.
(Her grief is a block preventing her bridge to reconnect. No one can form it for her (like Celestia did to Twilight) since it’s already there. It’s just frayed.)
(Gained) Unicorn Horn and Magic: Petal, like all Alicorns, has access to a huge well of magic when she gains her horn. However, after losing her wings, has a hard time drawing it out. If she does, it’s harder still to hold and control. Her magic is rarely used due to this. She may have an extension of spells but they may rarely be seen past a point.

(I actually can’t remember what’s fanon or canon but I’ll go with it)

Why, exactly, is Lunar Petal the Element of Grief? She's the EoG because she lost her wings, her second step into becoming a full fledged Alicorn, and she grieves for that loss. It's not just a matter of loosing the ability of flight and the power of the Pegasi ponies that have left her when her wings were lost. Her wings provided a bridge between her Earth pony birth and her final step, her Unicorn horn. Now that the bridge has frayed,* that connection is unstable. She can not connect to her Unicorn magic easily.

*frayed = the bare skeleton IS still there. It is not completely destroyed. Since it is still there, no one can recreate the bridge, even if they tried. Only Petals may recreate that link but... it will be difficult. Her grief is a block. (Like Celestia did with Twilight? That can't happen. You can't recreate something that's already there. My HC for her :) )

**Petals has the huge magic well Alicorns do but it's hard to draw out. If she's able, it's even harder to control.

No one knows her past history but this is due to her preferring to not make herself a target and working in isolation at night. She may not tell anyone now, especially since she's weaker than she was due to the violent separation of her second step.
