The Library
There is tale that if you wander in the Starwood Strand at night, you'll catch a glimpse of a glow dancing between the trees. It might just be a Will O' the Whisp. In that case, you're sure to end up hopelessly lost and will probably not make it out of the woods alive. If, however, your curiosity overcomes your common sense and you are lucky, you will find the Library.
It is a tent, but instead of cloth, it's walls are woven of branches and limbs. A stark glow, like starlight, squeezes through the crags of the wood. The vines still seem to be alive. A smattering of silvery blue leaves dance along their web.
The opening is curtained with what appears to be blue satin. You push the curtain aside and, for a moment, you can scarcely believe what you are seeing.
The library is huge. A lot larger than it's humble exterior would have you believe. There are at least three levels of floor to ceiling bookshelves. An Astrolabe drifts seemingly unsuspended overhead and a spiral staircase leads to a loft where you can make out a telescope. The glass ceiling stretches above you allowing an excellent view of the stars.
Despite its grandeur, something is off about this place. The bookshelves are all but empty. A layer of dust cloaks everything and forms a starlit haze around you. Despite its apparent neglect, you sense a presence that sends tingles racing along your shoulder blades.
There in front of you, so small you barely noticed, is a squat, round pedestal. On it rest a small pile of books. It is almost as if they are calling to you, begging to be opened. You heed their beckoning and flip through one of them. When you reach the first blank page, you gasp and take a step back. Words are appearing on the page as though someone invisible is writing them.
As creeped out as you are, we already know your curiosity is stronger than your fear. Or else you would not have come across the library in the first place. You gather your wits. Pick up one of the books. And begin to read.

I'm finally revisiting the lore thread for clan Empyrean. It's a bit of a work in progress, but feel free to read through what I have so far. My goal is to write a new entry at least once a week. Comments are welcome.
