The Windswept Plateau, a peaceful, happy place, with young hatchlings running about, elders watching amusedly, and everyone in between adding to the cacophony of sound and the diversity of cultures and dragons mixing. It's almost paradise.

But when the sun goes down, it's an entirely different story.

There is no noticeable change at first, maybe the elders sneaking furtive glances over their shoulders as they herd hatchlings into bed, a quiet locking of the door--all five locks--or perhaps the refusal to let a dragon in after dark, in spite of their screaming and yelling.

When you ask why that dragon can't come in, the dragon bracing the door gives a weary smile and attempts to blow it off. A form of punishment, he says, Wind Clans are very harsh with curfew, though he doesn't know why the dragon outside is making such a fuss about it.

You stare at the door for a moment, listening to the dragon outside scream and plead. The dragon bracing the door tells you to go back with the others, but suddenly the dragon's screams outside peak into a awful point of terror.

There is something else outside.

There is a loud snapping and cracking noise, and the screams of the dragon outside cut off.

In the sudden, piercing stillness you and the dragon bracing the door stare at each other, not daring to breathe, desperately straining for a sound, any sound, to prove the life of the nameless dragon outside.

There is none.

Grab your blender, stick this stuff in it:
1 cup whole wheat
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup milk powder
2 cups water

Blend

2 eggs
1/4 cup cooking oil
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. brown sugar

Blend

1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup flour

Blend & stick on whatever you use to cook pancakes
Makes about 20 pancakes depending on how big you make your pancakes.

Feel free to ask if you need help with anything. Many of the ingredients can be substituted, and you can easily make more or less by adding more or less.
