No one knows who built the town or why they picked the end of a canyon with no signs of life or resources other than dirt and heat. The town lacks much, its glory days having long since faded. Buildings are old and ruined, dust lining every surface. Fresh water is hard to come by, and the heat sears every form of life. Despite these shortcomings, Stagpoint still has people living there, hardened enough to chew nails and spit 'em back out. Generations of families have lived and died in the town's small boundaries, working each and every day in a cycle of clockwork. Life in Stagpoint was boring and routine, until a pair of people showed up. Stagpoint finally gained something new when two young lads, Kryzec and Jericho, appeared at the town's gates. They settled into the dusty old town, socializing and getting to know the people while their own motives for appearing remained hidden. Currently, Kryzec is known as the town's Sheriff and Jericho is Stagpoint's Judge. Along with several new friends and interested parties, they seek something powerful buried under the very sand the town is built upon. He arrived at the town with best friend Jericho Hayes eighteen years ago and has made a name for himself as a very amicable person. Sheriff gets along with most people in the town and is known to be quick in dealing with any problems that arise. He earned the trust of Stagpoint after he intercepted and neutralized a Dragontooth gang's convoy that was headed for Stagpoint to claim the town as their own. Whenever Sheriff brings in a new captive, Judge is the one who is there to determine their fate. Before coming to Stagpoint, Judge used to be the one gettings his hands dirty. Currently, he is often swamped with paperwork in his attempts to get the town to a better place with better infrastructure and amenities. He has a strong perception of right and wrong though he can be a little aggressive about it at times. He apparently lacks parents - townsfolk used to think it was just not knowing his parents, though curious searches have proved zero connection, like he just appeared out of nowhere. She hides her face under a hood constantly, keeping her identity a mystery. The Godhunter goes by no other name. The day she showed up to Stagpoint, she mentioned something about "waking up the town", which has risen suspicions of something underneath the town. The Godhunter has not spoken of anything since, but it is clear she is looking for something. He set up the farm by the oasis, which is now named after him. Aguirre has long since passed but his work is appreciated by everyone. While his father was content to remain in Stagpoint, Josiah II is more suited for travel. He is constantly coming in and out of the town and tends to end up bringing more people back, though he fails to realize the potential consequences if he brings back an unsavoury character. Victor had intentions to give a considerable amount of money to Josiah Aguirre to make the town better, but he was violently murdered before he could give anything. The murder was never solved, but the prime suspect was Victor's wife Helena until she too, passed. She was accused of adultery, embezzling, and scamming people from other towns. However, the biggest drama surrounding her was the murder of her husband, [color=saddlebrown][b]Victor Wellforth[/b][/color]. While the murder case remains open, it is believed that Helena killed Victor in order to claim his assets and the manor for herself. She is also the last living member of the family, which has left her in a depressed rut. Rarely does Alice ever come out, though she does pay her dues and the house staff to keep the place from crumbling. However, she has no job and no income and is slowly letting go of staff she cannot afford, leaving the manor in ruin. She has been in the town since her youth and is currently 84 years old. Despite her old age, she does her best to help the town out where she can. She especially enjoys the company of [color=goldenrod][b]Sheriff[/b][/color], who insists she should scale back on the amount of work she does. Shepherd lacks any real medical training but knows how to patch a person back together. He never officially accepted the duty, but accepts that Stagpoint needs a medic, and that he is the only one with enough skills to keep people from dying. Unlike her brother, Annabelle is flamboyant and constantly believes she is deserving of a life much better than Stagpoint. She is heavily reliant on her brother for anything, which is why she hasn't left the town yet, but dreams of fame and fortune in a big city. He is responsible for a lot of imports into the town and often leaves Stagpoint to do business with other towns. He acts out of self-interest, but owes [color=skyblue][b]Alexander Shepherd[/b][/color] a personal favour for saving his life, hence working for the town. Mercy is an extremely talented businessman, but keeps his secrets to himself. While he is a mercenary at heart and works for his own gain, he has taken a liking to [color=skyblue][b]Annabelle Shepherd[/b][/color] and attempts to win her favour, even though she thinks lowly of someone like him. While Cameron used to travel far and wide in the hopes of finding a better life, his dreams were broken when he and [color=#db150b][b]Anton Steele[/b][/color] were chased by the Black Viper gang and he was shot in the leg twice. His ankle never healed completely, stopping him from doing what he used to do. He made a full recovery but out of loyalty to Cameron, doesn't go out unless Cameron gets to go too. Around all sides except west is high canyon walls, impossible for any resident to climb up, and too risky for attackers to fall down from. Their secluded and undesirable location has warded off most people from attacking them, for the risk is too high for a lack of reward from the dusty old town. [b]Josiah's Oasis[/b] Named after [color=forestgreen][b]Josiah Aguirre I[/b][/color], the oasis is the main source of water in Stagpoint. It is a small but fairly deep pond which serves as a water source for the farm as well. Water is not directly drank from the oasis. Instead, a simple pipe system runs underneath the ground to a water purifier that was obtained by [color=palevioletred][b]Nicholas Mercy[/b][/color] in a one-off business deal. The oasis is the only place fit for any plant that isn't built to withstand the desert's harshness. [b]Farm[/b] The farm was also built by [color=forestgreen][b]Josiah Aguirre I[/b][/color] and remains standing today. It is currently in the care of [color=#db150b][b]Anton Steele[/b][/color] and [color=#db7a0b][b]Russel Cameron[/b][/color], with [color=salmon][b]Ada Morrow[/b][/color] helping out from time to time. The farm grows wheat, ground vegetables, and an apple tree. It also previously did not have any animals, but thanks to [color=palevioletred][b]Nicholas Mercy[/b][/color], it now has a pair of cows and some chickens. [b]Sheriff's Office[/b] Despite its name, not only the [color=goldenrod][b]Sheriff[/b][/color] lives and works in the central building. [color=firebrick][b]Judge[/b][/color] also occupies the building and is in there most of the day, unlike the Sheriff. If anyone has a complaint to submit or needs the Sheriff, the office is the place to go.
