@unidra Hello! I've been listening to the rehearsal videos and there's some parts I keep mishearing. I made some sheet music in flat.io to show what I mean. The first is what your sheet music says, and the second is the way I hear it. I'm probably just hearing it wrong, but I thought I'd make sure of it anyway. Totally up to you if you'd want that. I'm almost sure that I'm the one who's wrong, but I thought I'd ask to double-check. Sorry for asking so many questions!

Thanks for checking. The sheet music is correct - I wanted to avoid cramming words into eighth notes, and I placed the syllables with emphasis on the long notes because that feels more natural to me when I speak. However, after listening to the music video, I can hear that the sound I used for the voice blurs some of the notes together, so I'll try to get that fixed in the near future. It might help to listen to the base video - I (accidentally) used a more percussive sound for their video, and it shows the rhythm better.

Thanks also for the suggestion, but I think I'll be stepping out of line as an arranger if I change the ending too much. I did not write the original song.

Okay, I totally understand your points! I don't think it's the sound used for the voice necessarily, it could just be me, so I don't know that you have to change it. Thanks for your quick response and I'll get back to working on my recording!

No worries. It's not just you. I just had a friend listen and she was having trouble hearing the cues too. I'll get it fixed within the week. Good luck with the practice!

I’d want to be a singer, but unfortunately I have no singing experience and have no clue how to sing along with the sheet music, since it’s hard for me to separate the main melody from the other notes. This still looks like a super cool project though! May I be added to the general interest please?

I updated the practice videos because I used the wrong sound for the voice on three of the videos - the sound blurred the notes too much. Here are the new videos:

Sure, no problem. If you want to try singing, the practice videos have the sound. You can try singing along to the sound. You might only need the sheet music for the lyrics.

@Metalhead, you wanted me to ping you if I got the project off the ground. I have you in the "general interest" pinglist but wanted to make sure you saw the project early in case you wanted to join in.
