All gods and god-like beings are present in the world of Sornieth. Seen and realized. They come in many varieties and various amount of faith, but this is a brief 'power chart' for reference.
Higher Gods
The Eleven
Finite. The most well-known and gods of the highest order. They are the ones who have shaped the earth and are respected if not feared.
-
Lesser / "Land" Gods
Numerous.
Altwidus, Ra, and Rishmanaos are examples of Land gods. They are also sometimes known as 'natural' gods in that they are most often normal dragons who turn into gods and have powers that affect the land or an area immediately around them. They grow in power over a long period of time. Rarely are they mortal.
-
Omens / "demigods"
Numerous.
The Omens are the children of Ra. They have wildly different powers and ways of coming into creation. Since research is so unclear on how Ra herself came to be, it is also a mystery whether or not her children can technically grow enough in power to become lesser gods themselves. The Omens take on an Aspect of Influence they use to affect the world around them with their presence, capable of both good and evil. They can be created and destroyed, but are immortal otherwise. The loss of one often means an imbalance, as an 'opposite' Aspect remains in the realm. Some Omens are constantly roaming the land and taking part in the affairs of Sornieth, others hibernate and sleep for long periods until something calls to them and wakes them.
-
Demons / "demigods"
Numerous.
The Demons are the children of Rishmanaos. They are most well-known for their near-deathlessness. It usually takes complicated rituals to summon a demon, and it is an even more intricate rite to truly end one. Unlike Omens they do not specialize in anything in particular, although they might be 'known for' their favorite types of tricks, and none of them are virtuous. Rishmanaos is also much more "hands-on" with his children; Demons in the past who have gone against their creator have been cast out and stripped of their immortality.
-
The Forest & River Children / "demigods"
Bloodline-restricted.
These are the children of Altwidus, who excels at passing down his power to his children. Like their father, these demigods have power related to nature and the seasons. They are in general weaker than their other demi-counterparts and mortal, though immortality is within their reach. Unlike Omens/Demons, Altwidus's children are natural-born and directly related to him by blood, not gifted power or created by magic.
-
Druids
Druids are the common term given to the second generation, the grandchildren of lesser gods, their power diluted to much more typical levels. It is only their lineage that sets them apart from regular mages.
-
Witches & Mages
Witches and mages are your everyday dragons who have chosen to invest time and effort into growing their powers. Magic is all around us in Sornieth, but not everyone chooses to harness it. Mages come in all shapes and sizes and can rival even demigods in their powers, but they are born and they die alongside their many brethren.

While there are all sorts of ways to train magic and learn witchcraft, to be referred to as 'classically trained', a drake must attend one of Sornieth's magic schools. There they learn all there is to know about spell-casting, potion-making, enchanting, and more. It is most often a good chance for witches and warlocks to intermingle and see all of the different ways magic can manifest. When they are in school they are placed into a School House, a sort of practice run for when they graduate and are recruited (or seek out) a House of Witches.
In the southwestern portion of Indrali lands lies a cluster of cottages all built up on stilts, with bridges interconnecting them. Two entrances run through the small village, both landmarked by a large wooden arch that reads "House of Witches". Perhaps a misnomer, given how many homes actually make up the location. Not so much a name to the location, as the arches are a warning to those who enter: These lands belong to the House.
The House of Witches is a mercenary collection of Guardian dragonesses who practice magic. Some ladies specialize in potions, some simply offer blessing with a touch of their claw. They come together for solidarity, their community founded by their Head Witch Rokshata, who now spends most of her time as their leader helping their businesses, bringing in customers and spreading the word of their existence.
The House has a storefront building in the center of Indrali lands, a long hall-shaped building that sits next to The Fallen Streak. It features aisles upon aisles of potions and magical ingredients, with the walls on the sides covered in advertisements and posters that various witches have put up, promoting their services. Witches from all lands are free to come in to the store and put up their own poster, so long as they can verify their abilities with Rokshata first.

Even after matehood, Aruna continues to travel Sornieth on the hunt for teas and spices through most of the year. Altwidus encourages her to do so, happy to guard the teahouse-temple while she's away.

While Indrali lands are certainly an attraction for culture and business, a scenic place it is not. Neither is it an easy place to navigate, into or inside of. There is an ongoing effort by like-minded residents to map out and organize the Town to make it easier for visitors to get around, but it's hampered by the more avidly artistic locals who move and renovate frequently.
Since growing in size the Town has started to naturally divide itself into separate districts. They are as follows:
Calla-Lanta District
Taking up space in the east and northeast of Town, Calla-Lanta is a quieter area home to many of the clan's crafts-dragons. Most of the residents create their products at home, and take their wares to their shops in the Town market. The notable exception is Melina. Calla-Lanta also happens to be the residence area for most of the clan's wildclaws.
Altwidus District
Taking up the southeastern portion of Town below Calla-Lanta is Altwidus District, named after the local forest God in residence. The area is much more sparsely populated, with the space being taken up by heavy forestry. The trees in this area are exceptionally wide in their variety, with many types not usually found in Shadow lands. There is one main road through the district, known at the Path of Temples, named so because of the many small shrines that have popped up along either side of the street. Religious locals will often craft (or buy) the shrines and dedicate them to their own figure of worship: The Eleven, The Omens, or Altwidus himself, who does not seem to mind the shrines.
North District
A traveler's difficulty navigating Town likely begins and ends with North District. For one, because while it does take up the central North area of Town, it also extends down into the middle, covering the market area where all merchant stalls and shops are located. Secondly, because asking anyone where you're at while inside the district will get you a handful of different answers. It's also known as Gale district, as a nod to the famous pirate crew Night's Gale, who regularly make appearances in the area. When Sabine, whose tavern is in the district, tried to make everyone refer to it as North District, a few pranksters countered her efforts by spreading a third name: Sabine's district. Sabine herself refutes the name, but her reputation as a matronly, territorial ridgeback has made the name stick.

History
There is a history to Clan Indrali that many long-term residents hesitate to speak of. The trials of the clan first began in Lightning lands as nothing more than a mated pair, Rakshasi and Ravana, who had a dream to lead their own tribe. But they were inexperienced, and it showed. Almost as soon as they grew in number there were lines drawn in the sand. Factions formed. Things crumbled apart.
Rakshasi departed the clan on a search for her charge. Ravana grew nervous about leading alone and gathered his most faithful close to him, while carefully trying to cooperate with the other faction leaders. Krishna, who was vicious in his desire for power, and Venera of the Nightbringers who was no less greedy but much more subtle in her bid for clan lead.
It did not take long for violence to break out, but neither did it happen in the way anyone expected it might. You see, Krishna had two daughters and very clearly established them as 'heir' and 'spare'. He had led a clan before, and with Indrali he not only wanted to rule, but aimed to create a dynasty. He would rule and then would his daughter, and her children. From a young age he taught and trained his heir Rambha, sharing with her everything he knew about the world and how to lead. His 'spare' daughter Shakuntala was a flower left to wither in the shadow of her sister.
Shakuntala turned out to be a powder keg just waiting for the perfect moment to set herself alight.
