Once upon a time, when Baldwin used to experiment with a weird mixture of ingredients, to create the ultimate potion, he was able to change his breed from a Pearlcatcher to a whole new one: the Bogsneak Dragons. Of course, the whole process happened unintentionally, with an outcome that is more than just surprising. It is shocking to see, what Baldwin can create with just the right combination of ingredients. But there is one project, that no one knows about. The experiment that Baldwin tried to keep a secret, until the number of supernatural events grew to an extend where no one was able to deny the existence of another being in the Realms of the Dragons.
Some dragons were changing over time, just like Baldwin back then, with just a small number of other dragons realizing what happened. Their color-scheme changed into something more intense or simply bleached out, spines and spikey horns started to grow out of nowhere and their eye-color slowly turned into an acid-like, neon colored green. Every breed was affected by this without any exceptions. There were Fae’s changing, Mirror’s changing, even Skydancer’s and Spiral’s who suddenly looked way different than before.

Back then, Baldwin created a potion that was able to open an interdimensional scar in his laboratory, opening the worlds for something to crawl through. It was a horrifying view as the large and boney claw of something reached through the portal to grab onto something to drag itself to the other world.
Baldwin on the other side, shocked by what he had done, tried to hide from it. Of course, he didn’t want to get attacked or even worse: killed. The obnoxious sight quickly disappeared after its enormous size destroyed literally everything in the laboratory.

Prologue

Every breed was affected by this without any exceptions. There were Fae’s changing, Mirror’s changing, even Skydancer’s and Spiral’s who suddenly looked way different than before.
The Toxicant
Back then, Baldwin created a potion that was able to open an interdimensional scar in his laboratory, opening the worlds for something to crawl through. It was a horrifying view as the large and boney claw of something reached through the portal to grab onto something to drag itself to the other world.
Baldwin on the other side, shocked by what he had done, tried to hide from it. Of course, he didn’t want to get attacked or even worse: killed. The obnoxious sight quickly disappeared after its enormous size destroyed literally everything in the laboratory.

I'm starting to collect representatives of fan-flights
here, and I would like to add one of yours! What are the exact specifications of infected and fully-transformed dragons? For instance, do they need to be wildclaws?

taniquetil You have been added to the pinglist.
I like the idea of yours - collecting representatives. That's why I'm definitely going to answer your questions in the following lines of text:
Any dragon-breed can be under the effect of the Toxicant's fumes and poison.
A dragon is called "infected" when their normally colored scales/feathers/fur/skin starts to slowly bleach out into a flesh-colored nearly beige or human skin tone. The process is slow, but someday the whole dragon will be bleached out.
From this point on, spines and spikes will start to pinch through their skin, causing them to grow out in various bright acidic colors. Meanwhile, their usual eyecolor starts to fade away, leaving empty and glowing eyeballs.
A dragon is called "fully-transformed" as soon as there color's completely shifted into a bright-neon, acidic color scheme and the spines and spikes are fully grown out.
I hope this could help you! (:
