That art is beautiful :0 Also, to answer your questions: they do have large crests on their heads similar to fused horns, and the little bit on top of their head is actually more of a spine/crest (like SandWings from Wings of Fire) but it does vary between dragons — some look more like scales, while others resemble fur or even perfectly match the spines on their back. (Hope you don't mind if I add those to the dragon breed/main post :)!)

ah, i see!! so, the spine/crest is hard material then? or fleshy? i'm not famliar with sandwings or wings of fire (and sorry if these are dumb questions) (also i just realized spine could mean, like, quill-type protrusions rather than vertebrae ok i am dumb--) also, i just got another dragon i'd like to add to the clan list! I'm not too sure myself how to describe their spine, I guess it's like the same leather-ish material as their wings? Or like a spinosaurus spine? It is possible for some to have tougher spines like leather while others have more fragile spines like paper. I guess you could probably describe it as more fleshy, but it also depends which dragon you're talking about since it varies between individuals.
