Ahh thanks for choosing Blullincse to draw :> He's one of the top 3 important dragons in my lair~
For shading, I suggest upping contrast levels - be brave when picking colours for the shadows! I had the same problem when I started digital. Here is my art for comparison:
My coloured and shaded from 2-3 yrs ago:

(you can't even tell it's meant to be shaded, to the point it looks similar to the flatcolour below, just messier)
My flatcolour now:
