Introduction to Fogpine: Climate & Seasons
While Suma Draik does not tip the scales via a majority species, the entire community protects all living within the Fogpine Mountain Range - a temperate rainforest haven with an oceanic climate. Water is abundant here in all its forms - rain shadows are sought out and used for agriculture and multi-flight research.

Progenitor History: Indu's Temple
Indu was born in the Fogpine Mountains, her parents and their clan known for their stewardship of the nearby moon shrine and the water that flowed through it. The waterways (streams, rivers, waterfalls + a lake) that crossed path with the shrine were considered sacred, renowned for their mysterious healing abilities.

A visitor recently ignited the catalyst that will (unknowingly) lead to the forgotten moon temples restoration.
While most of the traditions of the valley are thought to have been lost to the winds, whispers tell of a place where memories can be regained and more in the Fogpine Mountains - truths laid open, mindfulness obtained, and insight gained to name but a pittance. Perhaps similar to the ruins of the Obscured Crescent - a second clairvoyant pool, untouched by the Shadowbinder and her agents.
But why has it gone unnoticed, unknown? Time has not been on this artifacts side, unfortunately. It is broken - fractured, only partially, but plenty for the sentient life to blissfully live their lives around it, not knowing of its untapped potential.
But one dragon has heard the sighing melody on the waters - he doesn't quite know it though, the shallows he practices a very instrument itself. He has the tools and all he needs is time.
Time will tell what prophecies come true or die.

This community is founded on four virtues.
“the four virtues are openness, honesty, freedom, and fun.”
“openness means a welcoming of new experience. openness means a receptiveness to new ideas. openness means that you know that you do not know everything, and therefore you must allow yourself to accept that which you do not know."
“honesty does not mean confessing. honesty does not mean you must reveal your innermost thoughts to everyone who crosses your path. honesty does not mean you cannot keep a friend’s secret. honesty means that you live as you are. that you do not do what you know you should not. honesty means that you are honest, not with others, but with yourself.”
“freedom is not freedom from responsibility. freedom is not freedom from consequence. freedom is openness and honesty. freedom is fun. freedom is the ability to do as you please, which is enabled by openness and honesty. if you are open, and willing to change your mind, if you are honest with yourself, and live as you feel you should, then you are free to do whatever you want. there are no restrictions for a person who is open and free. if you are locked behind bars, you are still yourself. to not be free, you must imprison yourself through dishonesty or closedness.”
“fun is the fourth and most important of the virtues: you must not be too serious. if others do not accept the code, you must laugh, not cry. if another hurts you, do not let yourself down. do not judge others: another person can never fail the code. you can only fail it yourself. if you see another who does not live by the code, you should not try to convert him to it. you should just live openly, honestly, and freely, and you should have fun. and if you do these things, you will turn people toward the code: it is not by judgement, or by criticism, or by preaching, that others are brought to the code, but by fun.”

At a Glance: Clan Virin & Water-Flight Specializations
There are plenty of water clans that do not live mainly underwater - some make their abode in swamps, lakes, streams, oasis' - places with a large enough and stable water supply.
Some take on a "multi-tiered" system where clanmates not so keen on the idea of underwater residencies will guard the surface and any pathways coming to or from the depths. Other elementally-aligned dragons will take on a plethora of roles, such as stewardship of the clans food sources, environmental & medical studies, ambassadors, hunting, scouting, defense, recording knowledge - the list goes on and on.
Afterall, elders always say not to put all your eggs in one nest.
Most water dragons in the Virin clan are known for their specializations - some know how to find water and its stability, some can breathe underwater with little effort, or tame their element with a flick of their tail, while others can shape water in ways other dragons only dream of. Some are even part water, giving up a physical form for the ethereal.
Some can simply use water magic, beckoning their element to their side with a simple thought. Others can call upon water in its other states - requesting the aide of mist, frozen frost, rain, hail, monsoons. Storms, even - if they've been taken underwing by a lightning or wind *ROLE HERE*.
Indus specialty is fog - as long as there is water nearby, the guardian can entice her native element, clouding sight, healing wounds, and allowing the leviathan to move within the forests undetected. The denizens of the mountains bow in silence when a familiar shadow in the mist appears - if she shows herself it is on purpose.
Beastclans that reside near the mountain moon temple have known not to provoke the Guardian. Respect is top here, especially to nature and the ecosystem - for without life-giving water most of the life in the mountains would be non-existent.
