Those that do dare to set foot outside the Vault must navigate their way through blowing snow and ice, but raw crafting materials and prey are plentiful to those who know where to look. Foraging in the deep snow is difficult but not impossible, but due to a shortage of inhabitants brave enough to venture outside, most food is brought in by travelers as payment for lodging or given in exchange for crafts from the Vault.
Any gathering is typically performed in the surrounding tundra, further off in the forests of redwood and pine in the west, in the sea along the ice cliffs in the north, and in the rocky hills of the mountains to the south.

From Beastclans?:
Dried Jerky, Berry and Nut Trail Bar, Stone Fertility Statue, White Linen Fabric Scrap,
Produced:
Assorted furs, and skins found while hunting which have been finely tanned. Carved and crafted lumber furniture, carved ivory, bone, statues, and figurines inlaid with polished stones. Carefully sewn pillows stuffed with feathers, knitted and sewn blankets, and other coverings. Preserved sweets, jerky, and dried herbs and spices.
Crafters try to use all parts of gathered materials, as gathering is difficult in their territory. It's better not to waste so the gatherers don't need to go out often. All gatherings are presented to the residents who then decide what is needed for their projects and what can be saved for later. Must be decided quickly in some cases, ie. frozen blood from prey starting to thaw and drip on everything, attracting mountain predators like bonepickers, hyenas, and chimeras with strong senses of smell.
Imported:
Assorted fruits, vegetables, and spices; assorted textiles and exotic furs or skins for tanning; polished precious stones; incense and oils; exotic woods; preserved sweet delicacies such as fruit leather, candied fruit/peel, chocolate, syrup, sugar glass/hard candy, and etc;
gemstones; paints; sealing wax and candles of various sizes.
