As I'm hoping to improve my lore, responses on writing (including tone and use of bold/italics), formatting, creativity, and similar are all greatly appreciated. Posting is okay but if you want to PM that's fine too. Especially helpful reviews will receive a tip

Thanks so much for your interest!!! I'll admit I've been meaning to ask you questions about your lore but I'm a shy bb. Regardless, as for your questions...

Clan Querevage somewhat deviates from FR's canon lore in a number of areas so I didn't quite have an 'official' location for the clan but I'd definitely place it on the North East border of the ruins.

BloodMagic wasn't really the conquering type so he gathered what he needed and then went isolationist with the clan so those are the only locations that were under Quereven control before Salem. She pretty much ate all of their neighbours...

An Emperor (supposedly) and... other things. Everything in there is laced with some kind of infection (Spoilers: It's the shade). It drips from the trees and dragons often leave with a fear of their own shadows. Most are watched. Some are attacked. The lucky ones succumb to the illness within a few, short, agonizing days.
The others are thrown back in "to be with their own kind".

The previous owners of the temple were known as "The Starcrossed" and they were an industrial clan primarily made of Imperials with snakier politics than Querevage, which is saying something. It fell around eight years after Salem gained power in what was one of her biggest conquests as it was previously the largest clan in the region.

I'd have to do some calculations with my approx. ages for everyone, but it's been almost 30 years. Maybe 27ish?

Salem was able to gain power by masquerading as a visitor to the clan. She was perceived as harmless because she cannot use magic. There was no true armed conflict, it was essentially Salem and Barachiel (whom she promised a share of the rule) vs. Devi and BloodMagic. It was a very 'no honour among thieves' situation because once the citizens realized that there was a very real chance of both BM and Devi being killed they noped right out of any loyalty they had. I'm sure some people were caught in the crossfire, but as it stands no one else actually died and stayed dead as far as it stands right now.

Querevage was a military clan before Salem, but it all honesty was really just a massive guild. But no, the popularization of Quereven was not Salem's doing, but BloodMagic's. (She actually tried to have it taken out of use but with no luck)

Yeah! Salem is very monuments-based when it comes to her religious worship (a large part of her character) which stems from a love of art and architecture. She was more than disappointed with the simple dwellings she found in the ruins but did appreciate the way they burned.

@WithoutBonds This is so well done! Can I use your codes for my own clan lore? I won't use much, it's just that I'm very lazy to code it all, I used to love coding but I did it so much that now I'm bored of it. :<

Alsooo uhm did you do the map yourself? How was it done / who did it , actually? It looks so "real" ;;
