@SuperNinjaDragon Hey! If you are still doing these I would like you to roast some of my works. I am only a hobbyist and learned everything on my own so please do it as harsh as you can, I am prepared ;w; For more works, if interested here is my [url=http://nympheaalba.deviantart.com/]DA[/url] These are some FR requests I did a while ago, these are only sketches and I went with simplish realizm. The images all link back to posts where you can see them on different dragons and so forth ^^ For the light festival submission I've been thinking about changing the shape of the light panels, maybe to something a little like a fleur de lis maybe? @SuperNinjaDragon Yay for super harsh critique! I generally go for a fairly realistic style, with lots of contrast :) (Yeah, I'm pretty bad at describing my style)
Here's a couple of my most recent commissions

@Amerigland Sometimes your proportions aren't accurate. From time to time, try googling photos of people and drawing them to perfect your [b]proportion[/b] and [b]anatomy[/b] skills. Your proportions for humans vary from art to art - overall you still have good proportions though - especially for being 100% self taught! [img]http://pre12.deviantart.net/948f/th/pre/i/2016/231/0/5/how_did_it_come_to_this_by_nympheaalba-daeir0a.jpg[/img] When transferring a[b] traditional artwork into a digital medium[/b], you have to be careful - it can easily look misplaced. Try painting over the top of your artwork or even just using a different brush tool. You have great skills in composition, creativity and shading - continue to practice and delvelop these skills. @SuperNinjaDragon Thanks so much for this, I'll keep working on them technical and anatomy stuff from now on. And with that digital media I am still trying to figure out the best combinations for it and I agree that sometimes it looks strange or misplaced.

@CuQuoise Whoa, nice accents! You should have an accent/skins shop. I think the fae skin needs no further fixing and it looks good on a wide range of colours. On the other hand,[b] adding more [/b]to your guardian accent can make it more appealing and can fill in the blanks, although adding more isn't totally necessary: [img]http://i.imgur.com/clWhIdy.png[/img] Also, the white and gold colours may match black, white or gold dragons only - it isn't very [b]versatile.[/b] However, people will flock to this accent if their dragon is black, white or gold - so the accent's still good! As for this: [img]http://i64.tinypic.com/2rng6dy.jpg[/img] I'll buy it in a heartbeat! It looks absolutely beautiful! However, one of the little blue ball things (sorry, not sure what else I can call it!) [b]overlaps the line [/b]that defines the mirror's stomach. This interrupts the 3D look in the balls. P.S. Please tell me if you open an accents shop ;)

@SilverPhoenix Your ar[b][/b]t looks great but there's something missing... that's right! It's more colour! [b]Try shading with colours[/b] in varying shades instead of simply using black or white to shade. It adds more interest to your drawings and stops it from being boring. I got a great pic I posted earlier to show shading: [img]http://img04.deviantart.net/3a2b/i/2012/337/0/a/the_do__s_and_don__t__s_of_shading_by_wickyw-d5mxo64.png[/img] Be careful when colouring dragons with similar colours such as this: [img]http://i.imgur.com/nTQZvhl.jpg[/img] It can be hard to [b]differentiate[/b] between what is a foot and what is the body at first glance. To improve, try shading with higher [b]contrast[/b] or with [b]different coloured [/b]lighting. You have nice anatomy and composition and each dragon looks unique and has a life of their own - remember : practice makes perfect!
