The aviary is an old part of the city, and one of the tallest builds besides the palace. It is home to Rekhanci’s favoured bird, the crow, and even a few of the larger corvid cousins. Further up the spire, closest to the top, is where the unsettling Mire-born Whispers take nest. Volkan and Delmont have known each other for years, even before they got into masonry and architecture. Their kinship helps with their work, making for efficient and remarkable building. Almost any structure in the city that elicits awed reactions was handled by V&D Construction, but many simple homeowners are also fond of working with the duo.
Their office is simple, one they bought as opposed to built. They’d thought about doing upgrades, but in the end it wasn’t worth taking time off helping their ever-growing list of clients. And besides, it’s nice to not be surrounded by your own work all of the time.
Wooden Heart: Carvings and Creations
Euria’s shop is easy to miss, but hard to forget. Located on the edge of the city almost, with the second floor overhanging and causing the shop sign to be overshadowed, it’s certainly only visitable by the most stubborn of shoppers. In fact, Euria’s business is largely generated via word-of-mouth.
The shop sells large pieces of uncut wood, useful to anyone who knows what to do with it from there. Separately, Euria carves her own trinkets and the like, lovingly and painstakingly made for her own pleasure primarily. Ruark, her mate, is often in the shop as well. Smelling strongly of the sea, it is rare to find him watching the shop, as Euria isn’t often away.
