TOPIC | Can't select item to spin to thread if
--Baldwin is occupied
I can only select item from hoard to spin to thread IF both Baldwin's and Sophie's crafting functions are available.
I can still reduce items to Baldwin materials from hoard if Sophie's working.
(Sorry for the gigantic screenshots in advance)

Neither is occupied:


If Baldwin is occupied, regardless of Sophie's state:

I have not been able to replicate this bug yet, but we are looking into it.

By any chance do you have an item waiting to be collected from Sophie? Even if you're done spinning the thread, the item will need to be collected before the button returns.

In any case, we are giving the code there a closer look, because there is an unrelated bug (the button still displays even when an item is locked).

Nope! I made sure that Sophie's workshop was clear and I didn't leave previously made items there. I could continue normally spin threads/sew other stuff if I visited her page directly.

Came here to report this same thing! I collected my last thread from Sophie and went to my hoard, and didn't see a 'spin into thread' option when I clicked an item I knew she'd take. Then I went to Baldwin and collected my last transmuted item from him, then clicked the same item in my hoard and both the 'transmute to ingredient' AND the 'spin into thread' options were available. I went to Baldwin, tossed an item in, clicked the same item in my hoard, and then the spin into thread option is gone again even though Sophie isn't 'doing' anything still.

Huh- I'm just speculating cause I haven't seen it myself (I'm brewing a Bog egg and Celebration Yarn rn) but maybe Sophie's button was incorrectly tied to Baldwin?

Edit: Yarn just finished- bizarrely this bug appears to NOT affect Food. Every other category that can be put into Sophie gets hit though.

I came here to report something similar:
  • No items show up at all when at Sophie’s main page or at the Spin page when selecting an item for spinning. (Confirmed nothing in her queue or in Baldwin’s cauldron)
  • Only able to spin going through Hoard > Item > Spin Into Thread option.

Thank you for the additional troubleshooting @Hedon, @NorthSong, @StarDay, and @Mask

We've pushed an update that should fix the issue, as well as an unrelated problem with locked items.

This was, in fact, a bug that only affected non-food items. So any attempts to replicate it on the food tab failed.

I have indeed the same problem. I'm able to select Sophie when neither her or Baldwin are occupied. But if Baldwin is brewing, the option to spin is not here. I see the exact same screens as Hedon.

EDIT: hurrah for the bug fixing, great job! I don't see it for now because I am brewing and spinning, I'll see in 25 minutes :)

EDIT 2: it's fixed, at least for the "Other" tab (didn't test with the rest yet)!
