Please check the known issues and working-as-intended sections before making a report!
This thread is to track any gene errors that occur with the Everlux dragon breed release This thread is for the newly released Everlux genes only, and does not encompass previously released genes.
In this thread, players may report any errors they encounter with the new genes. These can be technical errors, or consistency issues. This thread is intended to focus on these potential errors so that they can be addressed swiftly
Please report any errors you encounter and we will do our best to correct them in a timely manner. This thread will close out 45 days after release, on December 27, 2024. After this time, players may report technical issues with these and other gene errors in the Modern Gene Error Backlog Thread, or the Ancient Gene Error Backlog Thread, but further consistency issues will not be accepted for review and will be considered working as intended.

Corrected Issues
- Primary: Caterpillar (Everlux M) - This gene was briefly displaying as Cherub, as the incorrect replacement files were uploaded in the primary mouth correction.
- Primary: Flaunt (Everlux M) - The interior spots on the gene were colored in.
- Primary: Flaunt (All Everlux) - The gradient transitions were made a bit more gradual.
- Primary: Lionfish (Everlux M) - The stripes on the M pose were slightly transparent. This has been corrected.
- Primary: Lionfish (All Everlux) - The spaces between the stripes were further apart than the modern version of the gene. They have been corrected with more spacing.
- Primary: Marble (Everlux H) - The markings on the belly bled onto the chin.
- Primary: Pharaoh (All Everlux) - The interior spot gradient was made less intense to show more black.
- Primary: Poison (Everlux F) - The f-pose front fifth leg doesn't have a gradient.
- Primary: Poison (Everlux M) - The second gradient bled onto the belly. The smaller antennae did not have an accent on the tip.
- Primary genes with open mouth: (Everlux H, M) - The tongue/mouth was not dynamically recoloring, and a correction was issued. This affected Arapaima, Bar, Basic, Caterpillar, Cherub, Chrysocolla, Criculaworm, Fade, Flaunt, Jupiter, Laced, Lionfish, Marble, Papillon, Petals, Petrified, Pharaoh, Piebald, Pinstripe, Poison, Python, Ripple, Skink, Slime, Sphinxmoth, Strike, Throne, Tiger, Varnish.
- Secondary: Constellation (Everlux M) - The swirls on the wing overlap were offset.
- Secondary: Constellation (Everlux F, H) - The constellation lines were moved to follow the arm of the wing.
- Secondary: Flair (Everlux M) - The interior spots on the gene were colored in..
- Secondary: Flair (All Everlux) - The wing gradient transition was made less harsh.
- Secondary: Lacquer (All Everlux) - The edge gradient on the wing was slightly reduced.
- Secondary: Noxtide (Everlux M) - The stripes on the back wing's "arm" were made fainter.
- Secondary: Morph (All Everlux) - The large mark shaping was made a bit more irregular. More accent color gradient was added.
- Secondary: Silkspot (All Everlux) - The darker gradient was brought into the wing markings more.
- Secondary: Swallowtail (Everlux M) - The back wing markings were adjusted.
- Secondary: Toxin (All Everlux) - The accent gradient distribution was adjusted to hug the edges of the wing better.
- Tertiary: Batty (All Everlux) - The inner/outer wing gradients were adjusted to be more in line with the Auraboa and Dusthide coverage of this gene.
- Tertiary: Chitin (Everlux F) - The tip of the front second hand was cut off by the edge of the canvas.
- Tertiary: Eclipse - This gene was briefly unavailable for a correction.
- Tertiary: Eclipse (Everlux F) - There were some gaps along the belly that were filled in.
- Tertiary: Peacock (All Everlux) - The trailing edges of the peacock gene were made to come to a point more gradually.
- Tertiary: Points (Everlux F) - The front first hand was missing the points fade.
- Tertiary: Runes (All Everlux) - Runes now affects the horn
- Tertiary: Runes (All Everlux) - The antennae were given a more gradual gradient fade.
- Tertiary: Smoke (Everlux H) - The chin markings were adjusted to flow from the face a bit better.
- Tertiary: Space (Everlux H) - The gene was offset. It should now line up with the template again.
- Tertiary: Sparkle (Everlux M) - Additional sparkles were added to the back wing.
- Throne/Crown - The marking outline color on some hues was adjusted to the below colors.
Known Issues
- Primary: Jupiter (all Everlux) - The swirls could benefit from additional line variation.
- Primary: Ripple (all Everlux) - There could be more accent gradient coverage.
- Primary: Starmap (all Everlux) - The swirls need to be adjusted to better bend around the forms, as they read as clipping through the dragon rather than being a part of the dragon.
- Secondary: Constellation (all Everlux) - The swirls need to be adjusted to better bend around the forms, as they read as clipping through the dragon rather than being a part of the dragon.
- Secondary: Current (all Everlux) - There could be more accent gradient coverage.
- Secondary: Saturn (all Everlux) - The swirls could benefit from additional line variation.
Investigating (Not sure if issue or not)
- Tertiary: Polkadot (All Everlux) - Evaluating the spot coverage in comparison the the wide gamut that moderns have.
Working as intended
- Multi-Gaze & Line-Breaking Tertiaries: Sadly, the multi gaze and line breaking tertiary issue is a technical limitation. Eyes must always layer over the primary, secondary, and tertiary genes, and they are not contextually aware of what is below them and able to alter their shape to accommodate. This is a limitation with all of our dragons that have line breaking tertiaries.
- Belly Color - The belly color on most genes only affects the neck and body. The tail is not a part of the belly in this case by design, and is consistent across the breed.
- Crystal - Crystal displaying a randomized rainbow of highlights is considered working as intended.
- Glitch - Glitch hugging the body then breaking away is intended.
- Eclipse - The darkness of the face, belly, and centers are intended.
- Eclipse - The m-pose dragon has shadow color present on the main area of the wing. This results in a slightly different value from where the shadow is not present.
- Kumo - The cloud clusters of Kumo not being continuous is considered working as intended.
- Noxtide - The gradient on noxtide is considered working as intended.
- Papillion - The dark accent colors are intended.
- Silkspot - The peacock color is considered working as intended.
- Skuttle - The skuttle legs directly hug the existing anatomy of the dragon and are not considered to clip.
- Space - Space not covering the horn is considered working as intended.
- Strike - Strike on Dusthide does place a gardient on the hind legs "feet". The gradient not being on the last two legs of the Everlux is considered working as intended.
- Sunsail - There is a see-through effect on this gene, which is why there is a gradient that has a cut-off.
- Sunsail - The color palette is working as intended.
- Tide/Foam - Amethyst is considered working as intended.
- Underbelly - The line art on Underbelly is working as intended.
- Arowana - The highlight is intended to contrast with the base, and is consistent with the Sandsurge version of the gene.
- Gecko - The lack of gradient fade on the tail is because the base of the tail is behind the hatchling and is not visible.
- Glitch - Hatchlings have the same gradient blend present in the adults, but depending on where the shadow layer falls it may appear lighter or darker.
- Papillon - Sapphire is intended to have dark accent colors, and utilizes color codes present in other sapphire genes.
- Peacock - Yellow peacock is consistent with the modern version of the gene and is considered working as intended.
- Rift - Rift is intended to glow and to not be affected by the shadows of the dragon.
