My fingers are crossed that this will be resolved soon as, if anything, it has got worse rather than better!

I hope so too that it will get fixed because while the pop ups were frequent for me the last week, out of the sudden today the (blue) ones appear on every new page.

I still get the prompt every time I reload a page whenever I deactivate adblock. I really want to support the website by deactivating my adblocker but sadly it's unbearable if I do because of the constant prompt.
EDIT: I deleted all Flight Rising Cookies and Data and will see if it is fixed after playing a bit today.
EDIT EDIT: NOPE, as soon as I sent this post I was prompted to agree to cookies again. Doesn't seem like the problem was fixed.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: I seem to be able to reproduce this by editing a post and press submit. The prompt to accept or reject cookies pops up every single time. No matter if I accept or reject the cookies, and no matter what type of cookies I reject.

As a work around for now, ad blocking does resolve this issue for our EU users.
After Wednesday we will have a solution implemented, so if you are willing to give us a chance to display ads again after that, you can disable your ad blocker once the EU cookie-conflict is over. (you will likely need to clear your browser cache after wednesday at 22:00 server for the fix to take effect.)
Our apologies again for the hassle. Having to constantly accept cookies IS NOT a good experience.

Damn, same problem with the privacy bar, appearing every single time the site is refreshed. Every time I see this mentioned, I check my Adblock just to see I've had it on this whole time, then I turn it off because FR is by far the only website I actively want to see ads on for support, and then I have to turn it back on in a matter of minutes. The privacy pop-up makes it unusable for me and I just have to keep Adblock on. It is the exact same white and blue pop-up labelled "We value your privacy". For me, this has been happening for years because that's what made me turn Adblock on in the first place and since the issue tends to persist, I have to turn it back on and I just forget.

I just… browsed a whole bunch of pages… without a popup? Could it be, dare I hope, the fix is in?

...oh, no, I still have popups galore on Chrome.
ETA: Cleared my FR cookies, and the popups seem to have stopped. I may try bonding with my familiars again :)
(Aside, why do sites always suggest 'clear your cookies' as a first troubleshooting action? It can actually be really quite annoying to have to log into a load of websites again, just to troubleshoot a problem with one of them. If they even suggested 'clear the specific cookies for this website' but no, it's always all of them!)

It's usually 'clear cache and cookies', and that is recommended because a remarkable variety of website behaviors are driven by a combination of these stored files - many of which are not actually specific to the site where you are seeing misbehavior (for example, advertising cookies tend to be cross-site cookies, so clearing cookies from the Flight Rising domain won't necessarily touch cookies from the advertiser domain(s), so it really depends on where the specific cookie lives, and that can be uncertain or varied).

Yay, site has returned to normal for me today, hope it has for everyone else also. Many thanks to all the hard working staff who solved the problem.
