i was checking my recent auction history and it gave me the ability to resell these auctions for apparel items that had already gone sold, which doesn't make sense since i don't own those items anymore. i should note that it was only the apparel items and not the dragon that i'd sold (which was why i was there in the first place). also, when i attempted to click on the relist button to see what would happen it treated it as if it was an expired auction:

If you actually hit the Relist Now or Modify buttons it should tell you that you don't have the item anymore. I agree it's kind of weird, but it has something to do with the fact that it would be a strain on the server to check your hoard for every expired auction.
