Sorry for the mass ping but I got someone to test out whitelisting
www.flightrising.com and
www1.flightrising.com with Norton and that fixes this issue.
Quote:
EDIT: This only works once. If you change out the team a second time it dumps everyone out of your coli party and you can't add anyone (unless you use a different browser). Could ya'all list any other extensions/add-ons as well as the following info so FR staff can figure this out?
Version of Firefox:
Version of Norton:
Version of Win10:
If you don't know you can go
here and find out.
My apologies for jumping too soon on something that seemed to work.
From what I can tell Norton goes nuts because the coli uses elements from both
www.flightrising.com and
www1.flightrising.com and instantly updates changes made (like switching dragons). The script that does that is what's giving Norton fits because as far as it knows one website is immediately forwarding info to another and that's generally not good.
This is likely to be an intermittent problem with anything FR has set to do an immediate update unlike things like treasure/gems out or total familiar count which update frequently instead of "new change, must update now!" Once the site rewrite is complete and everything is on one site this shouldn't happen anymore.
Assuming everything gets updated and FR doesn't keep new features on one site instead of the other so it can test things.
Hope this helps!

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.
Have you checked the

Nightwind Thanks, but I'm still having issues. Can you please give us the exact steps the tester used?
Here's what I've tried:
- Whitelisting both URLs via making a special Firefox rule under Program Control.
- Adding both URLs to "URLs to Exclude from App URL Monitoring" under "Intrusion and Browser Protection".

1.
Manually clear cache.
2. Log into FR from an incognito/private browsing window.
3. Whitelist
www.flightrising.com and
www1.flightrising.com with Norton.
4. Possibly whitelisting both with Microsoft Defender (wasn't clear from the person I contacted).
...and now it looks like the solution doesn't stay. Something wiped the cookie when trading out the team a second time and now no dragons are in the coli party at all and new ones can't be added.
I'll amend the mass-ping post.
Any other extensions/add-ons running? Facebook updaters, duckduckgo, random whatevers?

Nightwind Thanks again, going to try that now. Though I was hoping for more specific instructions in terms of the whitelisting in case there was an option I didn't try and therefore list.

Nightwind On that note, I REALLY don't want to clear my entire cache because that will reset website recognition for the banking websites I use.
I forgot to add that while I don't have those add-ons specifically, I have a bunch. Norton Password Manager, Tampermonkey (for easy Llama badge returns on Deviantart), Adblock Plus, Amazon Assistant, Swagbucks, and more...

Thanks for your post - and thanks for finding a temporary solution at least.

I'm afraid I just passed along all the info I had--I don't use either FF or Norton. I was just too excited to find someone who wrote me back that whitelisting both worked...until it didn't.
Google to the rescue:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox
You can clear the cookies/cache for FR only instead of everything. That should be doable.
The main thing with other add-ons is that they often interact poorly with other sites. Turning them all off and then re-enabling them one at a time is generally the way to figure out if one or more is causing a problem. Otherwise, it's convenient for FR to know so they can see what's causing it (download the appropriate add-on to their Win10/FF/Norton and see what happens) and so they can test their fix to see if it worked.

Nightwind Thanks. Also, it turns out my reply to FR's "We couldn't reproduce problem, need more info"-type email reply from days ago never sent. I added the whitelist bit under my "Didn't work" list and linked your mass ping post. This time it sent.
I can't really fight with this right now because I have to finish getting ready for work. I would've had more time, but noooo, I got stuck with "OMG we need to set up this presentation last minute!!!" crap until just now.

Getting the same here. Firefox, Symantec, Windows 10.

Bumping this up because this has been a problem for several months, and it remains a problem.
