Hey! I noticed the number of items in a stack kept changing in my hoard, and panicked a moment until I realized the actual issue was that it was different stacks that kept switching places.
I think the issue is that, since stack size is unsorted, stacks of the same item display in a random order, which changes when you click to the next page and back!

This isn't a problem when all stacks appear on the same page where you can clearly see them, but if stacks are split between 2+ pages, as shown below, it's really confusing!
For example, I actually have one stack of 99 Pelagas Feathers and one stack of 72 Pelagas Feathers (as seen above), but since my hoard orders them at random, it looks like I have 2 stacks of 99 when I click between pages (as seen below).

Yeah, clearing the cache would do nothing because it's not a display issue. The game literally re-orders the stacks. Works as coded, and all that. Happens every time a page is changed in the hoard.
It's testable by handing things over to Crim and seeing your stacks end up as 98, 97, 99, 99, 56 and such because she always pulls from the first stack (if I remember corrrectly). The only workaround, that I am aware of, is to never browse the hoard...
Basically, as players, we're probably going to wait for whenever the hoard is reworked for a possible fix; I'm not aware of any announced plans, and the world map is the current project to the best of my knowledge.
Edit: word order fix
