I saw this beautiful dragon, but it's colour is unusually vivid. The profile says it's spring, but the tert colour is actually brighter than leaf!
This seems to apply to both genders of Guardian, but not other species.

Crimson Stripes for female fae and hatchlings displays very different.
Males show the outline as being [s]black[/s] a deeper crimson, which looks pretty awesome. Females and hatchlings however, appear like this:

Guardian males also do not have Crimson stripes appearing correctly. Same issue as with Fae females - the 'stripes' are a lighter shade rather than darker.

I figured out the problem.
Male guardians with the Ice circuit are actually platinum as adults--as children the gene is correctly displayed. Platinum Circuit is displayed as Ice on adults--I don't know about children.

This female Coatl has platinum underbelly, but it isn't appearing now that she's grown into an adult. Her stomach does look slightly discolored from the normal blood color, but it's not the bright platinum color she had as a baby:

What's up with my triple rose Snapper male? He looked just fine as a hatchling but now that he grew up, he got these weird dark outlines. Look at the dark lines on his shoulder, legs and right wing for example. Why are they there? I don't think they are supposed to look like that.. :s

neither of these guys are mine, just examples from the search function.
i actually didn't notice until i saw another basic tert / mulberry iridescent, and saw their underbelly coloration.
