TOPIC | [T] [Art] Incorrect Gene Colors

@yukublack It's not! If you look at other colors/the female art or just at a male scry without plumage you'll see that's just how the color/patter is spread! For Glowtail on Male Guardians, it's missing its lighter colored tip. It instead fades out like it does near the base of the tail. Pretty noticeable with Lionfish Primary! I noticed a little coloring quirk on skydancer hatchlings with glimmer or underbelly: They have a little bit of the tertiary coloration right below the front corner of their eyes. It's there regardless of the primary gene, and the adults don't seem to have this... Is this an error, or is it intentional? Either way, it's interesting. I'm surprised I haven't noticed it before!

@bluezip I don’t think that’s an error, it seems to happen when you can see the little dip between a dragons face and their eye- which isn’t visible on their adult poses. You can also see this on imperials (I believe tundras are supposed to have it, but they don’t)

Ohh, I see! That's really neat-- I didn't even notice that other breeds had it, too!

Thanks for the clarification! : )

this may not fit in here, but I don't know where else to post it. I'm pretty sure the wingclaws on baby gaolers with thylacine are supposed to be bare, but it seems the artist forgot to erase the leftover color. some different colors so you can spot it more easily

Those nails should not have color over them. Corrections have been uploaded, but it may take up to a day for the generator's cache to start using the updated files (it may happen immediately for some colors. However, the site's internal cache may take up to a day to reflect the change. ----------------------------------
I was playing around with glowtail for my random Gen and the shadow layer appears to no longer be multiplying if you have a noxtide secondary, on female skydancers ;; not sure if it's an art error or intentional, but I have a feeling it might be the former
Thanks for bringing this up. Its showing up as green instead of a pale blue like on all the other bases. [s]I absolutely love the way it looks, alas[/s]
If you like it, the good news is that looking over the file, this was an artist choice and is correct. the green is a color that highlights the shadows, and the fae female's lower wing can be interpreted as being in shadow based on where the standard shadow layer is. It does have some pretty wild results, though I think I'm a fan too! ----------------------------------
Female Tundra's lower horn (below the ear) doesn't change colors with the Runes tertiary gene as it should (and does with other genes). The line art for the Fae breed must have been changed at some point because the Iridescent lines for (I assume all of) the older colors doesn't match with the newer colors, or the belly tert genes. Specifically, there is a slight bump in the pubic area. It's more prominent on the female art than the male art. But that doesn't bug me nearly as much.)
Thank you for the report. This fix is pending, but we should be able to get the pelvic bones out of there on the original 67 colors. It's not going up immediately because an artist has to recolor it by hand and try and match it to the original. We can't use the site's recolor engine to do it for us. Iridescent is a fun gene like that. ----------------------------------
lapis runes doesn't turn yellow on male skydancers? idk if this is a mistake or just meant to be like this, but it turns yellow on everybody else so [columns][nextcol][morphology=712645][/columns]
It appears that a color layer was missing! Lace on baby banescales look weird. Unfortunately the example I noticed this on has a lighter tert. Lace seems to be clipping out of the lineart on both wings, but I didn't notice it on his tail or neck. This issue doesn't seem to be apparent on adult banescales either. Thank you for the report. Females have that tuft of fur designated as body color across all genes, and it is not considered an error.

THank you for the report. Those nails should not have color over them. Corrections have been uploaded, but it may take up to a day for the generator's cache to start using the updated files (it may happen immediately for some colors. The site's internal cache is a mystery to me....)

For Glowtail on Male Guardians, it's missing its lighter colored tip. It instead fades out like it does near the base of the tail. Pretty noticeable with Lionfish Primary!

Male scry with mistake:
dragon?age=1&body=90&bodygene=25&breed=2&element=6&eyetype=1&gender=0&tert=2&tertgene=54&winggene=20&wings=2&auth=a85e05e4af4dee3a35e72e5e76e9e9b168ddd5bb&dummyext=prev.png

Same scry but on Female Guard, where it doesnt have this mistake:
dragon?age=1&body=90&bodygene=25&breed=2&element=6&eyetype=1&gender=1&tert=2&tertgene=54&winggene=20&wings=2&auth=5df6eb50c951a1b6fd811b146f88946230aac6bb&dummyext=prev.png

I was playing around with glowtail for my random Gen and the shadow layer appears to no longer be multiplying if you have a noxtide secondary, on female skydancers ;; not sure if it's an art error or intentional, but I have a feeling it might be the former

Cyan Alloy is showing inccorect highlight colour on Fae Females. Its showing up as green instead of a pale blue like on all the other bases. I absolutely love the way it looks, alas

If you like it, the good news is that looking over the file, this was an artist choice and is correct. the green is a color that highlights the shadows, and the fae female's lower wing can be interpreted as being in shadow based on where the standard shadow layer is. It does have some pretty wild results, though I think I'm a fan too!

It's a relatively small thing, but now that I've seen it, I can't unseen it and it bothers me. The line art for the Fae breed must have been changed at some point because the Iridescent lines for (I assume all of) the older colors doesn't match with the newer colors, or the belly tert genes. Specifically, there is a slight bump in the pubic area. It's more prominent on the female art than the male art.

Females in Sky and Cornflower Pri:
dragon?age=1&body=23&bodygene=1&breed=1&element=1&eyetype=0&gender=1&tert=2&tertgene=0&winggene=0&wings=2&auth=145d16bb1a248192fd3be21a37fff5c0543338e7&dummyext=prev.pngdragon?age=1&body=145&bodygene=1&breed=1&element=1&eyetype=0&gender=1&tert=2&tertgene=0&winggene=0&wings=2&auth=2eeaf01001e4c6704ccbe368b0f19bc3f918c47e&dummyext=prev.png

Males in Sky and Cornflower Pri:
dragon?age=1&body=23&bodygene=1&breed=1&element=1&eyetype=0&gender=0&tert=2&tertgene=0&winggene=0&wings=2&auth=a81b807ebbf4b6c62f79ed2aa054648f8d05f7de&dummyext=prev.pngdragon?age=1&body=145&bodygene=1&breed=1&element=1&eyetype=0&gender=0&tert=2&tertgene=0&winggene=0&wings=2&auth=ea501237a67a400976930e38dcb30dcb3559af37&dummyext=prev.png

(It also looks like the shadows/highlights in general could use a little love for the old colors.
