My spiral was wearing Copper Steampunk Wings, but I wanted to see of the Venomscale Shoulder Guards would look all right over the top of them. When I clicked on the Guards to equip them, they replaced the Wings. They did not seat themselves on the layer beneath the Wings, as per normal. They removed them. And the Wings did not turn up in my hoard. They are simply gone.
After this happened, I had another set of Copper Steampunk Wings that I tried to make work with them. This different set of Copper Wings equipped just fine with the Shoulder Guards, on the same dragon. I was able to move their layering on them. I was able to unequip and re-equip them. But the original pair of Wings is still gone.
For the time being, I have left them unequipped and sitting in my hoard.

Coatl male and females don't show any of the Darkened scars or the Veteran's shoulder scar. I've been told by Drakel that none of the darkened or veteran's scars shows on the males, but no one's tried all of them on the females.
