Sorcery of Blood
The shaded city, most dragonkind fear this area, but these horrible magicians study there and call it their home. No one knows their origin but they have been living and studying there for years, it's almost like they spontaneously come along when discovered. Blood Magicians and their Blood Jewels are a common pairing and it is rare to find a Magician without a Jewel, even rarer to find a Jewel without a magician.
Blood magicians show very few signs physically they're magicians at all, but most have been spotted to have red patterns, small mutations, and slightly more translucent skin. However Blood Jewels are another story as they are made out of crystalized blood and far too many veins, they are built like this to better suit their magicians by using their unlimited blood supplies for the magicians spells.

White Coatl Vampires
Beyond the sorcerers in a pale house made from the ruins in the city lays the vampire Coatls. Not all of them related and many come and go but there is one certainty, Vampiro and Sange own the place. Many come from a long lineage of vampires and some were recently cursed to become such monsters. These Coatls turn pale white and their underbellies become clear- showing the blood they drink.
Vampiro and Sange happen to both have a parent that comes from a vampiric line meaning their lineage is fresh- yet strong. They are still wise enough to keep their old dragon ways but deranged enough to feast on the helpless.
