[sub]Bordering Plaguelands have, slowly over time, seeped toxicity into the ancient oil below Earthen mantle. As Sornieth's elemental energies boomed, the Ancient wyrms from eras past have emerged from the cracks in the dirt! These Banescales, once fallen warriors, have been made anew. They are rogues, charting the landscape for mortal prey. Their contaminated offspring will take to the skies![/sub]

[sub]Known as Drifters, the nomadic clans of the Shattered Plain can be found just about anywhere within Dragonhome. Using their environment to their advantage, they specialize in sandcarving, digging and stone masonry. Each travelling clan takes part in commerce, selling their craft and making names for themselves. They prefer to live primarily within their wooden caravans and colourful wagons.
Drifters' glass wings and polished earth-tone hides allow them to blend right into their desert surroundings, should they need to protect themselves. Hatchlings may be born with glittery, sandy bellies, or be completely embedded with streaks of coloured glass.
For days on end, these dragons will stride the drifting sands, looking for new villages and new opportunities.[/sub]

[sub]Earth Beetles will be found in small packs, living among sand and rock. These carnivores hunt during the day, and have impressive speed and agility. Their tough carapace hide makes them durable, and their thick claws make for excellent burrowing. Many offspring have been seen with multi-limb mutations, and the Imperials with this mutation are often mistaken for massive Corpse Cleaners. Keep wary of these predators![/sub]

[sub]Sneaking along the beaten path are nocturnal wyrms, known as the Brushcrawlers. These dragons originate from ancient woodland forests dotting the edges of Dragonhome. They live among trees, thicket, brambles and small lakes. They've long evolved tough, thorny scales in order to live in such prickly shrubbery, and for a sturdy form of defense. They are excellent at camouflage, and you'd have to do a double-take to spot them. Most live in solitude, and take care of their own for survival. While they try only to stay out of your way, they are known to lash out if threatened. Be wary of your encounter with Brushcrawlers, as they rely on old instincts and animalistic behaviors.[/sub]

[sub]The Eden of Sol is a brilliant marble garden, dedicated to the Light-driven Ancients of the old world. These Gaolers are peaceful, graceful, and gentle. Differing from their root lineage, they take pride in all that is ornamental, luxurious and beautiful. They have an evolved ability to meditate rather than fight with claws. When dragons of the Eden have reached another level of enlightenment, they will sprout and bloom beautiful flowers along their body, or glow with powerful solar runes. These dragons are wise, and always keep to reading their ancient texts and blessed scrolls.[/sub]

[sub]High in the mountains you are greeted by the gardens of herbs, sweetly kissing the spring sky. Here is where the herbalists flourish in their high spirits. The lands were cultivated three centuries ago by tribes of travelling Skydancers. Cultivating here today is the clan known as Lintu-Harvesterit, who sport beautiful woodsy feathers, and are known to be friendly to all travelers. They also work well alongside friendly Beastclans, making long-term, sturdy alliances. All hatchlings born into the mountain clan are brought up learning the arts of gardening, hospitality, and cooking.[/sub]

[sub]Treading the murky marshlands deep within the plague-touched forests are deadly, poisonous beasts. This sub-breed of Gaoler is highly resistant to venoms, poisons, and viruses. Those born with scaly hides are known as Sumachbark, as they secrete a toxin from the sharp tips of their scales and from their skin. Gnarlhorned varieties are known as Ivybeasts--with their intricate horns posing as hosts for poisonous ivy growth. The dragons haunt the darkened fen primarily at night, and will stop at nothing to defend their territory![/sub]
