The water is brackish, still, and often ridden with rot and decay. What little plants that grow beside it taste of salt, and the animals that drink it are gaunt and strange. Somewhere beneath the ground, in the caverns that beat with the heart of the monster they contain, there is a subterranean oasis. Glowing crystals line the walls of a glittering lake, the glassy surface like thousands of gems. The water here is pure, cool, and sweet, guarded by creatures whose magic protects the place from the corruption of the outer caverns. Here, travelers can find rest, a safe haven in a cruel world. If they never work up the courage to leave? Well, those creatures need to eat something... So these creatures are venturing out, finding clans of dragons to call home, to protect, and to explore. Sometimes they go alone, and sometimes they venture out in pairs. Perhaps someday, their magic will begin to create new Oasis... All babies sold through this hatchery will be from this subspecies!
