It hides in small nooks and crannies, places out in the open but hidden from sight, places where the veil between this reality and the next are thin. If one is lucky, or clever, or brave, one can travel across the boundary and slip past the veil.
There are creatures there, in that other place. Things that have been living, growing, thriving there in secret. Beautiful things. Terrible things. Creatures with minds and bodies similar to the Deities' creations but hold no loyalty to them. Flippant and fair and greedy and prideful.
But an open door can be passed through on both sides, and the Courts are as curious about us as we are of them...[/i]

The Seasonal Courts Lineage Project is something I've been working on since late 2017. I had an idea; what if I was able to find a genone born on the changes of the seasons? Of course, not just one dragon per season would do. If I had two, then I could breed them together and maybe make something more with them. This legacy project is that more.
The members of the Seasonal Courts are not-quite-dragons that reside on the other side of the veil. The world they live in is more fluid than Sorienth; space and time don't work very reliably. You can enter it on one side of the world and exit in in a day's walk, but you can also spend years travelling only to end up in the same place you entered. Members of the Courts are similar to dragons in the same way that faeries are similar to humans, so that's what they're called.
The veil between the two worlds has become thinner as the Deities have fallen silent, so crossing it from either side is slowly becoming more common. As such, the Courts each are interested in expanding their influence past their current world and into Sorienth. However, they only have access to Sorienth during their own season.
As it is currently Spring, only Descendants of the Spring Court are being bred. However, there may still be Descendants of other Courts available for adoption! About the Spring Court:

Playful and capricious, they celebrate the growth and energy of their season and eagerly welcome those who respect it. Be warned, though: it is just as easy to fall out of favor with this Court as it is to gain it. [*]All Court members are given a generation number to show how closely related they are to their Court's Monarchs. The Monarchs are generation 0, their children are generation 1, their grandchildren are generation 2, and so on.
[*]To join a Court, the Descendant must have been born in the court's season. No Winter dragons can join the Spring court, no Autumn dragons can join the Summer court, etc. They also must be directly related to a member of the Court to join. Descendants must be an adult to join their court, whether that be by waiting 5 days to mature or by using a scroll of maturity.
[*]Changelings (meaning children, grandchildren, etc. of Descendants who haven't joined their Court) are allowed to join if they fit all the requirements of a Descendant and if they are leveled up to 10, to prove their loyalty. Also, the owner must show the lineage of the changeling to a Court member so an accurate generation number can be given to the changeling.
[*]There's no restrictions on colors, genes, breeds, or eye colors for Descendants to join a Court, but one restriction on eye type: no Descendant with primal eyes can join. Vials of tempered sight are cheap enough on the marketplace and the AH. It's also recommended to keep the colors of Descendants close to that of their Monarchs'.
[*]Only one parent needs to be a Court member for a pair's offspring to be considered Descendants.
[*]Please don't breed Court members together, whether they be of the same or different Courts. Within the same Court, it can confuse generation lines, and across Courts, it guarantees that one of the Court members will be having offspring outside of their season.
[*]Please don't breed Court members outside of their season. Offspring born outside of their season can't join their Court, so it's useless and breaks lore.
[*]All generation 1 Descendants can be adopted with a fee of 75kT/75g. Other breeders are allowed to charge any adoption fee for their own Descendants, or none at all.
[*]To adopt a Descendant, simply ping the user holding the Descendant you'd like to adopt. Generally, Descendants will be given out on a First Come First Served basis, though users are allowed to give or refuse to give Descendants to anyone for any reason.
[*]Please use pinglists responsibly. Don't overuse the pinglists; only ping once on hatching. Use updated pinglists, instead of quoting your last post, so people who have removed themselves from pinglists won't be pinged. Use the appropriate pinglists, and don't use these pinglists for anything other than this thread. Be nice.
